This is an AudioMovie - an unabridged, enhanced audiobook, with a sound track, sound effects, and a full cast. A demon: Every soul he claims is another chance to advance. Until he can walk among us, look like us, make us believe in him. The only thing holding him back is...an angel. A woman must choose. In the end, they will all be judged.

I almost didn't listen to this book due to a previous reviewer who felt the audio performance was bad. I'm very picky about finding narrators that I feel take pride in their work and found the audio performance for this book to be outstanding. I felt the subtle music effects added a great atmosphere to the storytelling. Please don't let a negative review dissuade you from listening to this book. I loved the performance and enjoyed the book.
A.J Scudiere is an author who excels in descriptive prose. He can set a scene and build tension with precise and gripping words. The narrators are excellent. So, why insert a piano jangling its keys as the tension builds, so much so that you have to strain to hear the narrator? When the narrator describes a character typing, why do we need to hear the tapping of the keys? There is not one respect in which the sound effects and music enhance the listening experience of this book. Quite the opposite, they provide distraction. I think if I hadn't been distracted and annoyed by the piano music and sound effects, I would have been more patient with the slow plot development and the author's refusal to reveal the true nature of the two opposing characters until well into the book.
"Angel or Demon?"
The daughter of a powerful businessman always toes the line, comes to work, does her best, tries to make her dad proud, but she'll never be the son he wanted. Two men come into her life at the same time, both fancy her, but are they goodies or baddies?
The background music and sound effects were a brave decision on this audiobook and as the blurb says, they did make is seem like a film, they were very atmospheric and enhanced it, in my opinion.
