Narrator Lip Smacking Sounds

The narrator sounds like she’s chewing gum while narrating. The story is good the main character is annoying sensitive and naive

Great story horrible reading

I'm a HUGE fan Mary Monroe and have read several of her books SEVERAL times. I honestly couldn't get through this particular book due to the narrator. The constant smacking and sounding as if she's holding food in her mouth, made it unenjoyable. I had to skip through to the end. Horrible

Pretty Good But...

Not as good as the first 2 in the series. Also, I thought it was just me until I saw other reviews, the mouth noises of the narrator (smacking, loud swallowing) tore my nerves up. I think she narrates the rest of the series so I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to handle that.

Gullible

Patricia Lloyd is my favorite Narrator. But the smacking and the heavy breathing Was too much. Very irritating. I love the story line But Annette was almost 2Gullible, not realistic. I enjoy all of Mary Monroe books, I enjoyed this series but this book nerve wracking. Not my favorite. The other review warned me. I got thru this book with clinched teeth. Could not wait for it to end.

Overall good book

Take too long to get to the point and like a lot of people stated, too much smacking by the narrator but overall good story. No surprise though, I had figured out who was making the phone calls long before the end of the story.

Another good listen

Great story but predictable. The naivety was hard to listen to at times. But the story was good enough. Really wasn’t a lot going on in this one, like the last one. But it was still good

God don't Play

I enjoyed every minute of this story. It is a great novel so realistic, sad to find out that the person age cared for so much was the one wanting to hurt her,

Is the Narrator making swallowing sounds?

I really couldn’t get into the book due to the sounds of the narrator. I first I thought it was just a one time thing. However, the further I got into the book the more it sounds like she’s sucking on a piece of candy or drinking something. I loved her narrative in other books but this one, I just can’t.
