    "Good book, excellent narration"

Jane Fallon is a really great writer and I have read all of her other books. Her characters are usually realistic and relateable which rings true for the main character in this book but does not for two of the other characters - Lorna, who I found it difficult to believe was a woman in her forties, and Alex, who fooled everybody into thinking he was a nice guy for 20 years and then turned into a really nasty character. Rebecca, on the other hand, was a breath of fresh air with imperfect looks and a slightly flawed personality.

The book itself is an easy read with a few chuckles thrown in along the way and I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The title implies that the main story-line revolves around the two married couples but I found that it was equally about Rebecca and her experiences working in the talent agency. I hoped for more Alex/Rebecca drama but after the first few chapters, it seemed to calm down and bubble along in the background.

I think the main reason I enjoyed listening to this book so much is because of the narrator - I thought she read the book beautifully and I will be looking for more books narrated by her on Audible.

    "All kinds of dreadful"

Don't waste a moment of your precious time on this-I kept going thinking something going to change-but it didn't-the dullest characters
