Don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Trip's cool though. Use Audible to make gym-training sane... And rip my imagination.

    "Loved It! 45 Stars!"

This is professional entertainment at its best. Karp and Stechschulte have brought the comedy detective team of Lomax & Biggs back to life in a series you really should start from the beginning with "Rabbit Factory". Yeah...Karp shamelessly contrives the characters, clues, and scenics to make this a listen a frolic.

You like enjoyable? Then listen to this whole series. I sure will. Let's see, with "Flipping Out" I've given these books 45 STARS so far. And hopefully the next one will squeeze another 15 to that total. Can't wait to find out.

Love a good mystery, but don't care much for pure thrillers.

    "Good comic mystery with surprises."

I like the Lomax-Biggs duo. The plot is a bit of a stretch, but this is just "light reading" and, while it isn't likely to win any awards for great writing, the dialog is believable and often witty. There are several twists and turns that will keep you guessing, but the story moves right along. This is on a par with #2 in the series (Bloodthirsty) and better than the first (Rabbit Factory.) I look forward listening to the fourth. Tom Stechschulte does a terrific job giving voice to the many, varied characters, making it much more fun to listen to than to read.

    "Great read(listen)"

I read Karp's first two books, and this is the first I listened to the audio. I enjoyed it immensly. I found myself arriving late to appointments because I didn't want to stop listening at certain points, and listening longer than I normally do within my schedule. Those are the best signs for me.

I could tell you more about the plot, the characters, but you can get that from the generic reviews. I'm just giving you the general impression from a reader/listener.

Interesting topic, flipping houses. Think I'll stay away from it.

This is a very worthy audiobook, with the wonderful Lomax and Biggs characters, a return of the father, Jim, and some new interesting characters. You will enjoy it.

The narrator did a very nice job.

    "So-So"

Not really very good. I listened to the whole thing because I was so far into it and just wanted to finish. The ending is one that the author added to have a "twist" but was never really developed in the story.

Good story with a twist but I didn't find it a ha ha experience and I didn't find the characters very compelling - still - it was entertaining - a lot of tragedy and not enough comic relief to make me think of it as "comedy"

    "Crude humor and mediocre story"

A formula crime story with extra crude jokes, sex jokes, swearing, and negative humor. I did not enjoy it. I nearly turned it off many many times, I finally wanted to hear the twist because I knew it was coming. That was even a let down. Many characters had sex multiple times, although none of it was graphic. Crude jokes are not my idea of entertainment. A disappointing use of my time.

    "men's bathroom talk"
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Eight year old boys who are interested in burping, farting and saying cuss words.

Has Flipping Out turned you off from other books in this genre?

Absolutely--a waste of effort, time and money!

How could the performance have been better?

If no one showed up for the project

What character would you cut from Flipping Out?

    All of them

    Any additional comments?

Would like a category named "Trash Talk and Disrespectful of any anyone with morals." Maybe a TTD rating.
