"Weber keeps the pacing brisk and loads the narrative with enough surprise turns to keep readers guessing to the end." (Publishers Weekly)
I'm a Christian and I've been in church all my life, but I know how "holier than thou" church folks can be. Kudos to the author for portraying REAL people with REAL issues trying to serve God. The audio production was outstanding! The ensemble cast brought this story to life and it was a joy to listen to each character. Very well done by all. I recommend it highly!
The First Lady was an awesome listen. If you've read any of Weber's books, you know how dysfunctional (aka normal) everyone is and this book had it's share! It was hilarious!! The book had so much humor and drama I hated for it to end. If you're not familiar with Weber's books, give this one a try - you won't be disappointed!
"I listen to learn"!
I wish i was more familiar with the writings of this author so i can listen to his books in chronological order! This is my 2nd Carl Weber book and i love it! The story line was awesome and i could not have predicted the ending which made it even better. Once i started it, i couldn't put it down! I'm sold, on to "The Preachers Son"!

When Monique found out she really wasn't pregnant
First Lady from the Grave
True book, it's amazing how most of this stuff sounds like things happening. Everybody wants the power and title and to go to such measure was too much. I laughed so hard, this book keep me hooked!
I really liked them all

For this to be the third book in a series the stories other than a few previous names used again there was no connection. The first part of the book moved so slow it hurt to listen.
Yes I enjoyed some of his books this one was very disappointing.T
The character of the preacher was dry with no excitement
All of them

Yes, I enjoyed how the dead first lady put things into motion with the letters.
Monique, I was pulling for her and hoped that she was the one.
I enjoyed then all.
Shock and awe, when Lisa May and Loretta hemmed up Marlene at the Bishop's house. Marlene and the dog, I felt so bad for her at that point in her life.
Overall, the book was amazing, and my pick was thee pick, go Monique!
Hi my name is Bianca and I am a avid reader. I love all types of genres and read all the time. I am a book worm and always will be one.
When bishop T. K. Wilson married Monique instead of Lisa May.
I liked that each character had its own personality and emotions.
Yes without a doubt.
This entire series was full of drama and static. I loved it.
Uptown Girl's Harlem Book Club
I recently finished this audiobook. The performances where much better than the story, which left much to be desired. Whoever read the part of the first lady was fantastic.
