This is a Christian romance that is a perfect blend of suspense, mystery, romance, and faith. It is a believable story and I appreciate the fact that the author put a lot of research into firefighting and investigating fires. The story shows real tragedy in life, the true emotions that arise from grief, and how God is there to help us through struggles if we ask Him. The romance builds ‘from the ashes’ and progresses into a love that’s so innocently tender that you can’t help but smile.
I love a book where the narration doesn’t get in the way of the book. I have to give a shout out to Leonor A Woodworth for doing a great job narrating this story. She enhanced the story’s enjoyment and made this book a pleasure t listen to. ;-)
If you are looking for a great 4.5 star faith based book then give this one a try. I will be keeping a look out for more by this author.

Fire and Ash is the second book that I have listened to by author Anne Patrick and I look forward to many more. My favorite genre is Christian Fiction Suspense and this book filled the bill! There's the mystery with romance along with faith. I love reading or listening to a book that makes me feel good about my Christian faith without the feeling of being preached to. I will be looking for more books by Anne Patrick as well as books narrated by Leonor A Woodworth, who did an amazing job giving voice to the characters.

Anne Patrick hits it out of the park again. There is something about her suspense novels that I just love. This one brings us Sadie and Quinn, investigating a fire together. Sadie is laced with guilt over the death of her family from a childhood fire, which has plagued her life. Quinn is a widower, who has found his solace with God and is hoping his faith can help Sadie. Through their trials of finding the culprit of the arson, they overcome their hurdles. It is inspiring, interesting, romantic and all around entertaining.
Leonor A Woodworth narrates for Anne Patrick with an incredible performance. Her voice is soothing, emotional, loving, scared...making you feel each part of the book as if you are watching a movie. A definite great listen!

Clean, romantic mystery.
Yes. Although the characters could have been developed deeper, and the romance seemed to be rushed, the plot line was interesting. I like the fact there was no swearing and I didn't mind the exchange of no foul language for a bit of preaching and faith.
I enjoyed Leonor Woodworth's performance. Her female character voices were very well done. He male voice could be a little more complex, they started to sound the same.
