This newer edition of the King James Bible published in 1769 is usually preferred by most that read it over the older 1611 version. This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... Louis L'Amour?????
I've read and listen to many Louis L'Amour books, and he's one of my favorite authors. IF he wrote "Fighter's Fiasco", he certainly had a bad day. It is NOTHING like his other books, even the verbiage did not sound like L'Amour -- I couldn't get past the first chapter.
The narrator sounded like the PI in some of Murder She Wrote TV stories, who was too dumb to get out of the rain. He always acted the tough-guy and always got beat up....was always getting mixed up with the law and having to get bailed out by Jessica. John Bedford Lloyd spoke and acted like him...a real turn-off for me.
I wanted to like it, but I read/listen for enjoyment and it was too irritating to listen to.
