"Narrator was pretty good - Story was slow"

I lost interest in this story and didn't finish it. It was slow and boring to me. It was also rather depressing. I was waiting for some action to happen, trying to give the story some time before giving up but I decided it had taken all the time from my life I was going to let it have without any reward.
