    "Narrator screw up"

Simply put, the narrator destroys what could've been a pretty good story. He couldn't have been more dull and monotone. It was like listening to sex between emotionless robots, which defeats the point of sexually driven encounters. Everything else was emotionlss too. There wasn't one emotion expressed through tone or the like. Ruined!

    "Save your credit..."

I bought the audio book despite the warning from the single reviewer. I will just state that I am glad I bought it on sale. I never got past chapter 2. The narration was atrocious and as hard as I tried, I just couldn't get beyond that. Monotone is too kind of a description. That said, I didn't want to offer a review on the book because I hadn't listened to it or read it. Thus, I purchased the book from Insightout. The writing style of Sonja Spencer is engaging and the story is fairly decent. Not the best story I have read, but certainly not the worst, which is what I would have given the story if I only listened to David Tunic. I was going to purchase another book and then I seen who the narrator was--David Tunic--and I decided against that book. Again, don't waste your credit on this one...Next!

I'm 57 and retired due to vision loss after 30+ years in video production. I live with my partner of 12 years and a few great cats!

    "slow down!"

I found this actual story very touching. Both of the main characters are attractive, likeable and easy to empathize with. Their constant second guessing about their impressions of each other struck a chord with me having "been there."
The problem with the book is the narration. The hurried pace of the reading made me wonder if the narrator was in a hurry to get out of there to catch a plane or had been given some strange strict time limit for the reading.
I found myself constantly stopping my iPod so I could think through the last sentence, hearing it in my own thoughts with some conviction and emotion. The fast pace also caused me to sometimes lose track of whose speech or thoughts I'd just heard.
While I enjoy the audio production of most audiobooks, this one was a reminder to me of how much I miss the ability to read, having lost most of my eyesight.
I will look for other books by this author and hope for better results.

    "Narrator needs to slow down"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The story was pretty good but I was frustrated by the narration. I kept thinking if he would just slow down then more of the emotion would come through.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of David Tunic?

    Charles Carr

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    no
