Ilona Andrews is awesome.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Ilona Andrews worlds are so inventive and interesting. They are logical but completely fantastic and different from any other I have ever read.

Have you listened to any of Renée Raudman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Love Renee Raudmans narration. She is makes the books even more interesting. Funny and how a real person would speak.

Fates Edge

Loved it! Please, please, please continue this series. It is so much fun listening to their adventures. I would love to hear George's, Jack's, Lark's, and Gaston's stories for starters.

One of my favorite series by my favorite authors read by my least favorite narrator.

Weird accents and mispronounced names and a preschool teacher’s delivery of every element of the story. Gahhhhh! It’s close to unlistenable!

Love this Series!

Audrey Callahan is trying to make a life for herself. She's got a regular job in The Broken and isn't looking back. However, her father (POS!) shows up and talks her into one more heist to save her brother. Her payout? That her crappy family never contacts her again. She knows it's dangerous but it's worth it to be free and clear of them. Audrey soon learns that the object she steals is far more dangerous than she knew and both sides are fighting to get it into their hands. Neither of which are the good guys.

Enter Kaldar Mar- ladies man, thief, spy and much more. Together they have to follow the trail to get the object back. In true Andrews fashion, they fight, they trade insults, the sexual tension is through the roof and they fall for each other. It was bound to happen!

Another thing that I loved about this book was that Jack and George have prominent roles. It was so good to see those boys again! Mischief, mayhem, and plenty of laugh out loud moments made this another great installment to the series. I highly recommend any book by Ilona Andrews!

Best one so far!

Listened for Fun (Audible)
Overall Rating: 4.75

Character Rating: 5.00

Audio Rating: 4.50 (not part of the overall rating)

First Thought when Finished: Fate's Edge was exciting, fun, and made me excited/sad that the next book is the last one.

Story Thoughts: Favorite one in the series so far! The action was spot-on. The story was intriguing. The characters brought their A game. The writing was fantastic. The romance was smexy. The smexy was blush inducing. This really sealed my new found love Ilona Andrews. This was just well crafted all around.

Character Thoughts: Audrey was my favorite leading female in the series so far. She was resourceful, smart, and a good person. I love Kal from before but he really brought his leading man "swagger" in Fate's Edge. However, the main reason that I loved the characters: The Boys! Seriously if those two rascals don't at least get some kind of "where are they now" book/novella/website shout out I will be disappointed.

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated By Renée Raudman / Length: 14 hrs and 18 mins
Renee does a great job with the narration of this series. I highly recommend these on audio. She brings it every time!

Final Thoughts: I am really looking forward to getting my hands on the last one.

Inconsistent Character Voices

This narrator has one heroine voice. In book one it is Rose's voice. In book two it switches to Cerise and when Rose appears she suddenly sounds different. Then in this book the voice belongs to Audrey and Cerise's voice has changed. Is she perhaps patterning the heroine du jour after herself?

good story...

I liked everything about this one. The characters are fun and well developed. The plot is well thought out. If you've read the series up to now, the characters are familiar and that's always welcome.

The narrator always does a very nice job with this series.

One of my favorite Edger books

Another great addition the the Mar and Mire adventures. This time with Kaldar is at work with the Mirror and looking for revenge; and a woman with a talent Kaldar needs. She is from a family of grifters and takes a last job that puts her in the Hand’s and the Mirror’s crosshairs. Kaldar’s trail leads him to Audrey who is world wise but ignorant of the greater dangers closing in...there is a wyvern and the boys. What more could a reader want?

I am pretty much a diehard Ilona Andrews fan. I’ll read anything they wrote at least once and my favorites 3, 4, 5 times if I’m in a down mood or need some good urban fantasy that doesn’t involve sex every other page. I am here for the plots and the humor — because they completely amaze me in their creativity and depth. I am a writer and I simply find the Andrew’s writing to be captivating and fantastic. As many have said, I want to grow up to be them. This is one of my favorite Edger books because, in all honesty, I am a little wimpy about really gory action or situations. Just a little wimpy, so it has to be thoroughly hair raising.

This book was a fun adventure and had some favorite characters in it, as well as interesting and different talents. The back-and-forth between the main characters is well done and funny, the story expands the universe quite a bit. The Andrews have a talent for combining incredibly esoteric history while seeing the present with open eyes. They manage to combine those into fascinating realms that pull up a picture for us to look at that often becomes a mirror without being preachy (Puns intended.)

It was a nice break from the previous book which was fantastic but reached a gore level that I can only read once in a while. For some people there would be no problem with it so I definitely encourage reading the series from the beginning. These books also give a great background for some of the characters in the Innkeeper stories.
