    "Good Homespun Read"

I agree with the other reviewer, yes it is a little contrived but I still enjoyed this very much. I used to keep it for when I was baking or sewing. It's a book that you don't have to listen to every word, which sometimes is good. But it's very enjoyable and Nicolette McKenzie has a lovely reading voice.

    "A matter of taste"

Ifeel a bit ambivalent about this book. I did listen to it all the way through, and it was quite engaging. However, it was also rather old fashioned and well I guess it felt a bit contrived in the end. The coincidences and chance meetings were all rather over the top and unbelievable. I am thinking of putting it on disc for my 76 year old aunt as I think she will love it, but maybe that speaks volumes.
