Publisher's summary

The cursed village of Ewerton, Wisconsin is one of the great "bad places" in weird literature: a town that's just thoroughly bad to the bone - evil and dark and full of human suffering. And now A. R. Morlan returns to the scene of her classic horror novels, The Amulet and Dark Journey, with 25 horrific tales of men and women pushed beyond the limits of endurance. As Ardath Mayhar says: "The horror she evokes is not so much occult as uniquely human. The worst of human traits are her stock in trade. The hints of otherworldly elements are used in just the right proportions to make one shiver." And Robert Reginald states: "She drives the stake of horror right through the center of your quivering heart!"

This book was exactly what the title promises.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would have to recommed it simply because of it's diverse nature. It's certainly not going to be everyone's cup of tea. However if you're looking for something different, this book could certainly fit the bill.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I actually liked them all. This book can be quite engaging as long as you don't go in looking for something that's like other things specifically that you've read. It is what it is and that will have to due.

What does Arika Escalona bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I'm always interested at the begining in the narrator. What their voice brings, what it lacks. Does it fit the story. I am afraid that as a reader I'm far harsher on the Narrator than I probably should be. When I read it, I provide the voice, I provide the inflection. When I listen the narrator has to do all of that. In this case Arika Escalona did a great job.

If you could rename Ewerton Death Trip: A Walk Through the Dark Side of Town, what would you call it?

I think that this title while longish is exactly right for it.

Any additional comments?

If your looking for something thats maybe a little different. If you want to experience many different "tastes" of a story, spend the credit and give this one a chance. In my opinion is was worth it.
