From number-one Essence best-selling author K’wan comes the next installment in his best-selling Hood Rat series.
Porsha, the ghetto princess; Boots, the scandalous baby mama; Frankie, a.k.a. Francine, the con artist: these three girls live in one apartment and are into all kinds of hood foolishness while having fun—until the day they find an eviction notice taped to their door. Now they have 72 hours to come up with all the money they owe in months of back rent.
Of course Don B. is still up to his old tricks with Big Dawg Ent. and is trying to find an artist to replace Animal. He comes across Lord Scientific, a rapper from Newark who proves to be much more than even Don B. can handle. Meanwhile, the police and Gucci are still searching for Animal, and they’ll uncover something about him and his abduction that no one was prepared for.

“The big draw here is the electric prose, which is imbued with profane, comic lyricism." (Publishers Weekly)
I've been an avid reader since I was a child. I love different types of writing styles and I am never afraid to try new authors.
This book kept me entertained the entire time. I would definately recommend this series to anyone.
I am an Audible Junkie!!!! lol I try to give reviews that are free of spoiler alerts. This is why I rarely go into the storyline.
This was agreat audio because of the sound effects and emphasis with the narrative. Cant wait for the next sequel to come out!
K'wan brings this story to life with the excellent sound effects and story line. You are sure to become a fan of not only this series but also of his work!
Welfare Wifeys.. I loved that book and the narrator
My favorite scene is when Animal came for Gucci at the hospital
The hospital scene. I was in tears
Cary Hite is an excellent narrator for hood rat novels. I enjoyed his characters and sound effects.
Title and book summary is very misleading, I could only listen for about an hour, and in that hour there nothing about an eviction. The book did not keep my attention past that point. I have owned this book since 2011 and havent made it past the 1st hour.
I'm not sure what could make it better.
Maybe, I don't think it was the narrator.
No, didn't make it far enough.
I love to listen good books. African American urban literature is my favorite. I hope to see them in more BoGo and discount sales.
I like that Frankie was so fiesta and Porsha kept her dreams alive to somewhat obtain her goals.
I can't . I have not read anything I can compare it to . I like that he continued with his characters but each story is different. Although he may reference a situation from a previous book. They are all unique.
CARY is the man!! He brings personality to each character.
Probably Don B. I would have to experience him to understand why these woman trip over who they think he is. His persona really precedes him and I need to understand what is they see.
I made the mistake of listening to this book out of order. Now I have to go back and listen to Real Wifeys to get me caught up on the story. Then I'm going to get Animal. I really want to know what happens to the characters. K'wan does a good job keeping my attention and the characters are so animated. Don't make my mistake listen to them in order.
Raw, Real, and Entertaining
I love listening to his voice. I love the way he makes each character seem real like the change in different characters voices and the way he expresses certain dialogue. He's great!
Great book to listen too!! Cant wait for the book of the series called "Animal"!!!!
This story had too many characters, and too much going on, it did not come together at the end you were just left confused. I kept thinking these characters would have something in common but they never came together.
that the story never came together.
yes if it is not so disjointed
The part about Animal being in another country and fighting drug lords.
Hi my name is Bianca and I am a avid reader. I love all types of genres and read all the time. I am a book worm and always will be one.
My favorite character was Portia because she had confidence in herself at all times and didn't take no mess.
Yes because it was that good.
I really liked it when all 3 of the girls banded together to find ways to get the rent money even though it wasn't their fault it wasn't paid on time. It was a very dangerous situation.
