Shotgun, Texas didn’t come by its name accidentally. In this Wild West town, shootouts are commonplace. Trying to keep peace in this rough place is Liberty Drake, a sharpshooting female deputy who has no trouble holding her own—until she meets Slater Rawlings, a handsome ex-Texas Ranger. As their love grows, Slater wants Liberty as his wife. But he also wants her to give up her gun and badge. Caught between her heart and her job, Liberty asks God for guidance. All the emotions and struggles the young couple face are fully captured by Ed Sala’s dramatic narration. With more than 1.5 million copies of her books in print, Lori Wick is one of today’s most popular Christian fiction writers. Her novels frequently top Christian best seller lists.

the characters were believable and the story moved at a good pace. Liberty had qualities that match most any woman in one way or another.
I'm a 43 year old house wife. I love books, especially audio books that let me work on my crafts while listening to a book.
I highly recommend this book. It's a great Christian Romance,
The way Lori Wick shows how to have a personal relationship with God, while wrapping up in a great love story.
The overall emotional tone of the book that you might not get by just reading it.
I wouldn't rename this book it's a very fitting title.
I really enjoy this series. The narator is a little suprising at first, because male narators seldom get romance gigs. I think Sala did just fine. Liberty is a suprising woman in a suprising role for the time and place of the story. How everyone in her life responds to her acting in that role is pivital to her grouth in the story, and part of Lori Wick's magic.
Enjoy, and read on in book 2 A Texas Sky.
