Publisher's summary

In Tim LaHaye—creator and co-author of the world-renowned Left Behind series—and Craig Parshall’s Edge of Apocalypse unabridged audio download, Joshua Jordan’s new weapons defense system will secure America against an array of new enemies, including a nuclear strike on New York City by North Korea. But global forces are mounting and corrupt government leaders will go to any extreme to prevent an impending economic catastrophe. As world events begin setting the stage for the “end of days” foretold in Revelation, Jordan must weigh the personal price he must pay to save the nation he loves.

Edge of Your Seat

Another in LaHaye's long list of end times novels. This one has interesting characters and keeps you wondering what's next. It's the same story, different setting and I keep coming back for more.

Religion & Spirituality Book-NOT Fiction

This is a Christian publication hidden behind a fiction title; unless you have strong Christian beliefs, and want to listen to an end-of-times self-proclaimed prophet, don't bother with this book. It has just too many unbelievable and often-times irrelevant situations.

In addition, the author(s) constant reference to an "All-Phone" instead of what the rest of the world refers to a "cell-phone" is just strange, especially for a book released in the last few years. Cell-phones currently play videos, allow for reading news, etc., and we aren't en-masse changing what we call them.

Finally, the narrator has (or was told to put in) nerve-racking, totally silent pauses between chapters, causing constant checking to see if my IPOD had stopped or shut off.

The story had promise, but instead of reading what started out as a decent novel I instead felt like I was listening to one sermon after another.

Becoming Reality

Would you listen to Edge of Apocalypse again? Why?

Just listened to this book for the second time. In the tradition of Joel Rossenburg, some of the actions and political scenarios that seemed fiction in the first read are now becoming reality.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the edgey tension mixed with the story of redemption.

Which scene was your favorite?

The lamb in the thicket moment.

If you could take any character from Edge of Apocalypse out to dinner, who would it be and why?

The Patriot because he is giving his all for our country.

Any additional comments?

I can't wait to read Thunder From Heaven but know I will need to read it again in a year to see how much of the fiction becomes reality.

I loved it and cant wait to get into the next

I thought this was a very well done novel with great suspense and intrigue. It sends a solid Christian message yet keeps you in anticipation for what is to happen next. I understand the authors design of the "All Phone" as a futuristic reality of were cell phones like the iPhone and Droid are heading. I am looking forward to the next book.

Truly an amazing listen!

Ok so this book will not be for all.
It has a strong Christian message. It is never preachy instead it is all action all of the time.
The main protagonists are brilliant characters. One a reborn Christian and her spouse, a believer but with certain judgements.

These protagonist has an amazing report with one another. This makes the reader connecting to the story line as they grow to love the couple.
The theme is clear. Beware!

The world building is quite believable and the narrative form makes this a seamless and amazingly entertaining story.

Political + Religious

I didn't realize it would be a story about how liberals are supposed to be pro terrorism + anti-America... if anything, I guess it is a look into the mind of a fox news fanboy that takes all the inflated, sensational stories as fact.
I didn't mind the religious side of it.
