In Tim LaHaye—creator and co-author of the world-renowned Left Behind series—and Craig Parshall’s Edge of Apocalypse unabridged audio download, Joshua Jordan’s new weapons defense system will secure America against an array of new enemies, including a nuclear strike on New York City by North Korea. But global forces are mounting and corrupt government leaders will go to any extreme to prevent an impending economic catastrophe. As world events begin setting the stage for the “end of days” foretold in Revelation, Jordan must weigh the personal price he must pay to save the nation he loves.

Another in LaHaye's long list of end times novels. This one has interesting characters and keeps you wondering what's next. It's the same story, different setting and I keep coming back for more.
Just listened to this book for the second time. In the tradition of Joel Rossenburg, some of the actions and political scenarios that seemed fiction in the first read are now becoming reality.
I liked the edgey tension mixed with the story of redemption.
The lamb in the thicket moment.
The Patriot because he is giving his all for our country.
I can't wait to read Thunder From Heaven but know I will need to read it again in a year to see how much of the fiction becomes reality.
Les & I have been married 47 years! We have A large family! Love Audible~!
The books I have listened to from Tim Lahaye has been so close to the actions of today news and I like the books. I learn from them and enjoy the fiction story!
The Story stats of very well but I stopped after one cd and that happens very rarely! There is too much religious stuff involved in it which spoils a good Story.
They should have left out the religious plot and thus turned it into a good Thriller.
The narrator did a good Job - nothing against him!
The kernels wife and son - as far as it goes for CD1 - I do not know what Comes later but These two were too religious.
A good start going down hill very fast!
I wish audible would make it more clear when a book is a religious vehicle. This is the third "mystery/thriller" category book I have bought in a row that is no more than a sermon in disguise. Soooo disappointed. Please add a religious category so I can avoid it as I do other categories that are not of interest to me. I check synopsis and read reviews but keep getting fooled. I am now going to start checking authors before I buy as they tend to run true to form. I am sure others would appreciate a religious category during audible specials.
I thought this was a very well done novel with great suspense and intrigue. It sends a solid Christian message yet keeps you in anticipation for what is to happen next. I understand the authors design of the "All Phone" as a futuristic reality of were cell phones like the iPhone and Droid are heading. I am looking forward to the next book.
I really enjoyed this book. Whether your male or female you'll love this book. I can hardly wait for the next installment.
Say something about yourself!
People who think in black and white distinctions.
The stereotyping of the stupid evil left wing liberals vs. the heroic wronged, intelligent conservatives was simplistic and offensive.
I would not know where to begin. If the authors could have presented the two sides in more realistic terms, the plot may have carried the book further.
The setting was great and the plot intriguing. I thought in the early pages, I had found an new and imaginative situation set in the near future. While I can see the possibility that this situation could be reality, it seemed so disappointing that the complexity of the two sides of the conflict in the US government could be depicted so unrealistically and in such a biased manner turned me off. I could not finish the book.
"Oh such a boring book!"
Wow with such promise to be a great book, Nuclear threat from North Korea etc. Just turns out to be another thinly veiled attempt to push a LOT of born again christian rhetoric down your throat. That mixed with a storyline that never really took off or went anywhere.
If Audible offered a button I could click to get my credit/money back I would be pressing it like mad.
