What did you love best about Dreamcatcher?
It kept my interest all the way to the end so it was good enough for that. But the payoff...not my favorite.

Not one of King's best
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I felt it needed to be a much shorter novel. The premise is interesting and the characterisations are excellent as far as they go. However, the story may suffer from having too many similar characters. There are no significant female characters for example, in contrast to his brilliant 'Salem's Lot' and 'It'. Stephen King is a brilliant descriptive writer and his use of language is, as always, spot on. However, with two hours left in the story I was getting bored and I gave up, I'm afraid. The narrative takes far too long to play out. Perhaps too much detail about past events told through flashback.
Would you ever listen to anything by Stephen King again?
Yes. I have enjoyed The Stand and Salem's Lot in audio before and he is the best writer alive in my opinion.
What does Jeffrey DeMunn bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I couldn't really say but he does an excellent job.
Could you see Dreamcatcher being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I think it probably will be if it hasn't already been attempted, but I'm not sure it would be a very good one. The pursuit that is central to the story is very drawn out.

Masterful Narration of a very good story.
Jeffrey DeMunn does a great job at getting the accents and the personalities of these New Englanders just right. I found I could not put down my iPod and headphones. Stephen King again shows that he can stretch a believable premise (we can sometimes listen to each others thoughts) to a huge and engaging story (ALIENS can listen to all of our thought!)

An opinion changer
Having only seen the movie, I never really planned on reading the book. I'm glad now that I have listened to it. It's more than the movie could ever portray & I thoroughly enjoyed it. Jeffrey Demunn did a wonderful job narrating & I wholeheartedly recommend it

Captivated
What did you love best about Dreamcatcher?
I loved the storytelling and how King intertwined the past and the present so well.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I think Josie. I just enjoyed all parts of the story that included him.

I think he did an amazing job of conveying the feeling and actions of the characters through his reading of Dreamcatcher.
Who was the most memorable character of Dreamcatcher and why?
Duddits because he was such a key part of the whole story and bringing the boys together.
