Publisher's summary

Set in ninth-century England and Norway, Dream of Me tells the story of Wolf Hakonson, a fierce Norse chief who falls in love when he kidnaps the sister of his rival, Hawk, a prominent Saxon lord. Wolf marries the lovely Cymbra but their wedded bliss is short-lived. First the women of the settlement refuse to accept their Saxon mistress who turns out to have emphatic abilities, and then Wolf must face the wrath of his brother-in-law. Inevitably, true love triumphs, but the peace brought about by their union is precarious.

Great Entertainment

As with the rest of the books in this series, it is a great book. Very entertaining. Great author. I love it and still listen to it over and over.

Wonderful romance but abrupt ending

This book was sweet and semi historical about England under King Alfred. The hero was too perfect but I loved him anyway. It ended so abruptly with major new events that reader didn’t get to process!

I have listened over and over

The first time through this whole series for me I was reading the physical books and loved them! Listening, they are even better! The marriage of Wolf and Cymbra shouldn't work, he kidnapped her and theeated to kill her brother if she didnt agree to marry him. Selflessly, she agrees. Both characters are stubborn and learn to listen to and trust the other. Really, I havent found a romance I enjoy more than this one (i do love the character Hawk though but he is the main character in the 2nd book) Definitely recomend! PS if you like this series email and/or call audible and request the Akora trilogy by Josie Litton. It is about the descendants of these characters and actually the series that put me onto this on because I didnt realize this came first!

Viking romance

Pleasant story, had a very promising start but somehow slowed down and I felt like not much was happening for a long part of the narrative. Too many love making scenes as well and overall story would have been fantastic if edited to ten hours.
All of that said, I did enjoyed it and it’s probably my second favourite Viking romance after “Season of the sun” by Catherine Coulter.
Definitely worth a credit!

Exciting and Entertaining

I just finished the Outlander Series and was in dire need to read more of Highlanders and Vikings. I was not disappointed in this story. Wolf & Cymbra was another Jamie & Claire. I only wish the story of the two could have continued. I love long continueous stories. I highly recommend this reading. Thank you Josie. Have you ever considered to continue the story, even now?

great!

Great book! I thought the plot was good, kind of long but worth the time. I liked the book overall...but didn't really like the narrarator, especially when she tried to tackle a man's voice, it kind of creeped me out. anyway, you'll enjoy, i promise.

Great escape

This romance was pure escapist fun. The characters were reasonably well developed and the story was not as predictable as most trashy romances are. The relationship between the two leads was believable and touching. The narrator carried me along all the way as if she were telling me a grown-up bedtime story. I loved curling up with this during a winter storm.
