Dragon Slayer | [Isabella Carter]

Dragon Slayer

Ingram is a coward and weakling - at least according to his father, the king, and the royal court. He cannot use a sword, he faints at the sight of blood, and even his brilliant abilities as a strategist are not enough to overcome his failings. When his father loses a bet to the notorious Lord Mallory over the matter of a dragon slaying, he pays his debt by ordering Ingram to marry him. Then his father reveals that he is putting Ingram to a greater purpose, giving Ingram one last chance to prove he is not worthless. All it requires is betraying his new husband.

"No smex but pretty darn good!"

There was not a lick of smexing in this m/m romance book... a few kisses... but even without the smexing the story was just so darn interesting...and Paul Morey narration tip this book in the win pile!

Ingram father gives him to the Dragon Slayer after losing a bet, and Ingram was supposed to spy... Ingram of course ends up falling in love with Mallory but... the drama and mystery surrounding Mallory's homeland really set up a nice story.

I found myself wanting to rush to the end just to find out if Mallory was of Dragon-kin or not... then the surprised about Ingram, his mother and father, and the black dragon was written so well.

This would have totally been a 4-star book with a bit of smexing... There has to be a book 2!

Narration was great.. a time well spent...

    Good credit or sale

    "Nice fantasy adventure"

I really enjoyed this book. It is a nice mm romance with a heavy dose of dragon/ wicked king adventure. Be warned that the ending does not wrap up all plot points, so I presume there is a sequel in the works. I hope so because I would like to find out what happens. That being said, I'm still glad I listened. Worth a credit.
