I loved this book from beginning to end, the narration is amazing, the story incredible! after taking the dark tower journey, which I loved, I started listening to other King books, this one takes the number one spot. I absolutely recommend and will be listening again!

More Will Patton, please!
The book is great! I loved the characters and the struggles of Danny Torrence. Even the supporting characters were excellent! It took an hour or so to get used to Will Patton’s narration, but now I want him to narrate everything.

great book but alcoholics beware
this is an EXCELLENT well written book, heavily expands upon the shining lore and the nature of the phenomenon which I LOVED, huge lore nerd here. but if you struggle with alcoholism it might trigger you to take a drink

FANTASTIC!
This book was absolutely fantastic. I saw the movie first, and unlike the Shining, they stayed pretty true to Mr. King’s novel.
The characters are rich. The relationships are strong. The story is woven well and without a lot of useless fluff.
Multiple life lessons can be learned from this work. But I’ll let each of you flesh out what lessons by reading. ;) There more than a supernatural story here.
I’d like to thank Mr. King for giving me a story and life perspective that will rattle around my brain for years to come. <3
