The year is 1969. Though there is war and unrest in the world, on August 15th, on a farm in upstate New York, a little concert will go down in history as the most famous music festival of our time: Woodstock. It also happens to be the day Bonnie McMillan and Peter Hampton meet and begin their free-spirited love-filled journey with each other. Fast forward 47 years. Bonnie unexpectedly passes after a night of hot sex and is whisked up to Purgatory, or "The Green Room". Bonnie's best friend meets her at the pearly green gates and the fun begins, from body sculpting to channeling. Follow Bonnie on her erotically incorrect quest to re-connect with the love of her life. Or at the very least, make sure the sex toys are hidden before the kids start sorting through her things!

This is my first audio book and I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only was I able to listen to it while doing menial tasks around the house, but it kept me wildly entertained. Bonnie lands herself in the "in-between" after a wild night of sex with her husband and begins an all new journey. From worrying about her appearance to the fear of her children finding her and her husband's sex toys, the hilarity ensues. Grab this book now for a VERY interesting hour of laughs. You won't regret it!
Desperately Seeking 69 by J.D. Prettier was a great and quick read. I loved reading Peter and Bonnie's story. This was a great story of Purgatory, the place you go when waiting to go to heaven or hell. Only they call it 'The Green Rom'. Bonnie meets her best friend there after her unexpected death. Bonnie goes on a journey to reconnect with Peter, her one true love. She recalls the way they met and their life together. This was a great quick read. I love the authors work and can't wait to read more by her. This is a must read.
I just Can't believe how awesome this story is. I laughed myself to tears one minute then was sad the next and the erotic romance? Well, there are no words. You just have to read it yourself. Bwahahaha... I seriously do recommend this to adults only please.
This was such a fun story to listen to! I don't normally read/listen to the "mature" stories but this one was fun and enjoyable and a quick listen while I was cleaning my house. I will definitely look for more!
I think that both the print and audio version are wonderful. I am more of a print person but was pleasantly surprised with how wonderful the audio book was.
This is a one of the kind book for me, I have nothing that could compare to it.
All of the performances that I have heard by Hollie Jackson have been fantastic. This is no exception.
This is such a quirky and fun read and to listen to this great book is even better.
If you loved the ebook, this will knock you over. The story pops into your ears like it was written to be an audiobook.
Enaid All-enir, dah-ling! Talk about quirky. She had me rolling!
I'm a big fan of Hollie Jackson. You can tell she loves what she does, and this story was no exception. She brought this story to life as if I were living it.
Peter, circa 1969, because I wan't to see what I missed out on! I really wish I got to know more about him.
I am Tammy Payne. I am an avid book reader and I also have a book blog :)
Oh gosh yes. Why? It's hysterical and a feel good story.
It should be a sad story considering someone dies however it shows us a life on the other side and it is so funny and just a feel good story.
Yes I have and she is an excellent narrator. She does a great job with this story.
When Bonnie reaches out to her husband Peter or tries too and finds her ex-neighbor making moves on him. HAHA bring on the screeching television too funny.
This was a funny book to read but even funnier to listen to. I highly recommend if you want a little saucy with your comedy.
Definitely. The story line was funny, and well told.
Dee, who had been dead for 8 years and was able to lead Bonnie into the here after.
Hollie and her various voices made this audio so enjoyable.
I loved the written story of Desperately Seeking Sixty-Nine, but the audio is even better! I really enjoyed the emotion the recording brought to live. Well done!
The love story.
