"Not only is Aiden James a storyteller par excellence, but his material for his story is riveting." (Huntress Reviews)
"Aiden James is insanely talented!" (J. R. Rain, author of Moon Dance and The Body Departed)
Let me start off by saying that this type of mystery isn't my favorite and the writing would probably appeal more to the younger generation. However, it was a fun read/listen. It kept me engaged and was definitely more on the funny side. I thought the narrator did a good job with the various voice inflections. All in all, not a bad listen.
It was entertaining and kept me engaged. I thought the various characters were amusing.
No, I haven't so I don't know how it would compare to anything else he did but I thought that his various "voices" were good and definitely made it easy to tell who was speaking.
I don't know.
I would definately listen to this book over and over. It is one of my favorite Aiden James books and I enjoyed Daniel H. Vimont's vocals.
Im not sure what I would compare the book too. Part of what I enjoy about the book is that it is different from every other ghost story. I love the paranormal aspect and the touch of humor that makes this a really great story.
There is an excitement in Daniel's voice that adds to the excitement in the book. Initially, I thought "it doesnt sound like Jimmy". I had his voice in my mind from reading the book. But the more I listened the more I liked the "feel" Daniel added. I throughly enjoyed him.
Possibly the alternative name, Ghost Hunters or Paranormal Investigators...
The Ghost Hunter series by Aiden James, is one of my favorites. I love the main characters, Jimmy and Fiona and the story around them is awesome. The addition of making this an audio book allows me to listen to my favorite story in the car as I travel. I am very excited to have this book!
Horrible. There were moments where I was not sure I could listen anymore. When he spoke in a normal voice it was fine but the exaggerated voices of the men And women was awful. It hurt my ears.
Ok, I'll admit in not far into this book, but I think it might be helpful for others to know that the misogyny of this author is coming through very clearly. I'm finding it very annoying to listen to the way he describes women and their behavior. The main character apparently loves and respects his wife very much, but the way he talks about others is nothing short of insulting. Authors can make you dislike characters without playing on so many ridiculous stereotypes.
Even the scenes with his wife are skakk-worthy, but that may just be because I presently loathe the main character.
The author's writing.
The voice doesn't seem to fit the main character. Oddly wimpy voice on a guy who's supposed to be a "man's man", or at least fancies himself so. Also, Southern accents are ridiculously overdone.
Haven't found any yet, but I'll keep listening as long as I can stand it.
