I listened to this entire series twice about two years apart and am writing the review after listening the second time. There aren't too many books I want to listen to more than once but this one has a good mix which keeps it interesting. If you are considering this book, you should start with Last Light, the first book in the series. Night Light is the second book and True Light is the third. This one (Dawn's Light) is the fourth. In Last Light, all electrical power and electronic devices on Earth mysteriously stop working one day. The books follow a typical American family, the Brannings, as they try to survive in what will become a very real crisis. As they encounter impossible situations their Christian faith is challenged and strengthened. Highly recommend this series.
I listened to the whole series and loved each one. The story line is great and very inspiring.
Who says the couldn't actually happen. Loved it.!!!!!
Each book left me wanting more. Amazing story line which had me hanging on every word. I love the way it makes you realize we could be the people in this book someday...actually we very well maybe the people in this book one day. Great work by Terri Blackstock. I hated for the story (series) to end.
Christian man in 50's looking for good fiction
It was the best book that I can recall that talked about the the deep love that parents have for the children and the heart ache they feel when things don't go well for them. It was also very neat book about how 2 man competed for the heart and hand in marriage for the other sister.
Because there are so many it would not do the book justice to limit to just 1.
She is awesome
I am a fan for life. This is my first audible series and I could not wait to get to the next book. The characters had became apart of my life where I was thinking about them all the time. I did not want it to end.
I love listening to audiobooks and enjoy mysteries and thrillers. My favotite authors are Randy Singer, David Baldacci and Vince Flynn.
I haven't read the books but the audio versions were all unabridged and the narrator brought the characters to life which is why I enjoy audiobooks. The narrator, Susie Breck, did a very good job.
The premise of the series is similar to "Solar Flare" by Larry Burkett in that the world is thrown into chaos when all electricity, electronics, etc are destroyed due to a natural phenomenon.
I have enjoyed the previous books in this thought-provoking, yet enjoyable series. I really wondered how it would end and what would happen if the power came back on. Would the characters revert back to their pre-outage selves, or would they keep the hard-learned lessons they had learned? The author stayed true to her theme of learning to rely on God throughout the previous books, so I hoped she would continue. The ending does not disappoint. Good series!
