Book dragged on at times compared to other books in the O'Mally collection. Prequel should have been written first and been more concise.

EXCELLENT!

This is some of Dee Henderson’s best writing; this and the O’Malley series, plus the Uncommon Heroes series. It was some of her first and best writings. Something happened with her later writing. You’d never know it was the same author. To me, her other stories are boring! This is an excellent story! Suspense, drama, romance, and it is a clean story. No swearing, no sex scenes...it is Christian based, but not preachy. The narrator? He’s ok, but I would have liked to have had someone better! At times he is boring and monotone. Kind of what I expect from Tom Stechschulte. She did have a woman narrator when the series first came out, and she was excellent! Matilda Novak. She was an outstanding narrator! If you can find those versions, they are far superior to these ones with TS! This story is a keeper, though. Excellent!

Clean

I like that there’s not a lot of profanity and sex . It seems that writers think that their books need it to be any good and that’s a shame because it takes away from the story.

I love Dee Henderson’s writings and this one doesn’t disappoint. Great story and narration. Highly recommend

I have read this whole series but there is something different having it read to you. I thoroughly enjoyed this story being read to me

Magnificent!

Superb writing and excellent narration!I' I've read all of Dad's books and love them all, but the narrator of many later works couldn't hold up to Tom Stechshulte's fantastic work. What a duo!

Another excellent book by Dee Henderson

I am just discovering Dee Henderson and she’s quickly becoming on of my favorite authors.
This book is excellent. The story moves along without constantly repeating the angst that the main character is dealing with. It’s easy to understand her and the other characters as the story line develops.
The ending is sweet and I love the reference to trusting in God

Intriguing

I have re-read or listened to this book several times over the years. The characters, the suspense are just as intriguing every time. It is a great book and a wonderful precursor to the O’Malley Family series. I highly recommend it.
