Israel successfully launches a first strike on Iran, taking out all of their nuclear sites and six of their nuclear warheads. American president William Jackson threatens to support a U.N. Security Council resolution condemning the Jewish State for unprovoked and unwarranted acts of aggression. And the Twelfth Imam prepares to order a genocidal retaliation.
Meanwhile, CIA operative David Shirazi has infiltrated the Iranian regime and intercepted top secret intelligence indicating that two Iranian nuclear warheads survived the attack and have been moved to a secure and undisclosed location. In danger not only from the ongoing war between Israel and Iran but also from the increasingly hostile governments in multiple countries, Shirazi and his team are in a race against time to find the remaining nuclear warheads before the most cataclysmic event in the history of the Middle East comes to pass.

Amazing that I can listen to this book then I'm listening to the radio and have to pause to remember if it is a book or the news. The reality of what Joel brings forth is what can be happening today in the news. This is a GREAT book. In fact, the entire series is tremendous!
Say something about yourself!
I would love to give a eloquent and engaging review but all I can say is, Read These!
The Rosenberg series has been days of excitement and thought provoking narration.
I only give 5 star ratings for true everlasting masterpieces. (Like Outlaw Platoon by Parnell and Bruning, and The Outpost by Tapper) After once again wishing I could give a 4.5 for this whole three book series I give it a absolute guarantee of enjoyment if you are a reader like I.
If you have read or listened to other books by Rosenberg, you know you will be getting a lot of religion mixed with action. This is the third book in this particular series by Rosenberg. It's better because there is more action than before. But it can be a bit of religion overload at times. Still I enjoyed listening.
Another good book by Joel C Rosenberg. A good mix of what is happening today with Bible prophecy and history. A good follow up to the Tehran initiative and the 12th Imam.
I enjoyed Damascus Count Down very much. Joel Rosenberg is a very good storyteller and when you mix in the fact that he is an expert of the Middle Eastern culture, it gets very exciting.
I have not read the print version. It is better for me because I listen as I do cardio.
The end. Loved the conclusion.
I am not sure. He did a great job here.
The author is always teaching about the last day of this era of mankind from a biblical perspective. I believe that he is accurate, informative and entertaining.
intelligent blend of Biblical truth, science, and current political issues. I thought the ending was not as good as the rest of the 3 book trilogy.
Not the best Rosenberg fiction. OK, entertaining, but it felt to me like the story had to end, so it did. I felt more fatigue than suspense toward the end.
I'm glad I chose the unabridged audio version over print. The reader did voices so well, I forgot the characters were fictional. The story seemed real
Dr. Birjandi's final stand in the facility. I wondered if he would truly stand for Christ. I knew in my heart he would, but it was amazing to see it happen. He was afraid but did what he had to do. I sometimes time wonder if I could be as courageous. This scene reminded me to be in prayer and ready at all times to speak the truth even if might mean my execution.
Nouri's kidnapping from the hospital had me off the edge of my chair. It didn't seem like they could pull that off, but the quickness and unity of the team made it happen. I loved the courage, teamwork, and daring of all the players.
Twelfth Imam Goes Down -- he was the essence of evil. Glad to see him go.
Lots of page-turning tension. I now have no more fingernails, but it was worth it. My favorite book of 2013 so far.
The story line had great potential. However, I feel it was written for born again Christians. If I wanted to sit through over 10 hours of preaching, I'd have bought something else!.
Exciting keeps your interest
It could really happen
Very good for my first listen to him
