Reality is overrated.
Exhausted single mom Daisy Garner is shocked when her blog about life with Darling Husband and Baby Delight in their charming Victorian home brings a national talk show to her door.
Amazing! Except she made the whole thing up.
Panic! Now she needs to borrow a Victorian house and find a man to play her fake husband on TV.
Travis O'Hare steps up for the role, as long as she'll marry him for real. He wants their son to have the stable home life Travis never had.
But before the wedding can happen, Travis and Daisy have to get through the interview with a ratings hungry host and a slick producer with ties to Daisy's troubled past. When a winter storm traps them all, it begs the question: can two people pretending at love finally discover the real thing?

I had previously read Daisy Does it all and loved the book and the characters- Kylie Gilmore makes you want to be a part of this small town and family! The narration added a special quality to the book my second time with it! I enjoyed the book even more with the narration!!?read all of the clover park series- or listen to it! You will highly enjoy it😍
One of my very favorite comedic romances.
The first book in this series, The Opposite of Wild, because this is not just your standard romance. The characters are flawed but I still rooted for their happy ending.
Everything! I really enjoyed the different inflections he uses for different characters, and how easy it was to recognize them as I listened. His vocal of a crying baby made me laugh out loud.
Absolutely! I listened to the first 8 chapters last night and finished the rest of the book today due to time constraints. Normally I would start and finish the audio book in one sitting.
I love the pairing of Kylie Gilmore's books and Charles Lawrence's vocal skills and I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series!
Definitely. The story was precious, it made me laugh, I felt for the characters and I'd do it all again.
Martini night. Snowbound with the most hateful woman, the things you find out with a little social lubrication!
Charles keeps the story moving along, his women's voices are a little odd but he gets the character changes.
Definitely, I almost wanted to extend my commute.
I can't wait for the next one!
I think that the experience is completely different. One isn't better than the other but I love how the characters seem to come alive in audio books.
Daisy because she just kept going even when life got complicated. She was a good mom to Bryce and eventually wised up when it came to Trav.
I think I said this from the first book but he just does a really amazing job of bringing the characters to life. When you are reading a book it's just your voice in your head but when you are listening to Charles you can differentiate each distinct character.
Absolutely! Yes! I wanted to know what was going to happen so I had to keep listening.
I love Clover Park and the characters Kylie has created. I feel like I could live there and be friends with them. I can't wait to start Rachel and Shane's story!
I am still a beginner with audiobooks so it ranks right up at the top!
Super sweet and fun romance!!
Narration is amazing, as always!!
I definitely would, it's a really great story. In the book Daisy makes a mistake that anyone could do and she tries frantically to make it right. In real life we do stupid stuff all the time and in this I can relate very much.
I love all of the characters. I think in this book Daisy is my favorite, b/c of the obstacles the faces and ultimately gets through with the help of her family and friends.
Yes, I listened to The Opposite of Wild. He does a fantastic job on both of the books.
This book made me laugh, cry and get mad even at one of the characters who was being a crab about everything.
When you read/listen to this book, you will love it and ultimately not want it to end. You will feel apart of the story.
Daisy and Travis’s story was fun to listen to. Daisy gets herself into quite a predicament after writing a blog & is invited to appear on a talk show. She involves both family and friends to help her out and that’s when the fun begins! There are a lot of secondary characters who add to the story, including Daisy’s colicky son Bryce. This is the second book of the series and I look forward to listening to the next one. Charles Lawrence once again does an exemplary job narrating.
Daisy's heart to heart talk with her mother. Daisy believed her mother was perfect and finds out reality was quite different.
Travis' discovery of his true feelings for Daisy.
I love Gran! Daisy's parents are wonderful and offer sage advice.
I really enjoyed Daisy & Travis story. In it you get more on grandma and the rest of the gang. Max was a added twist that made you want to smack someone now an then . I feel like the narration was smoother in this one . Can not wait to see what happens in the next story of this fun group of people
I received this audibook free from the author to listen to and leave an honest review. I also purchased the ebook because the series is so enchanting. This is the second in the Clover Park series and is just as cute, fun, and sexy as the first book. Daisy is a single mom of baby Bryce and is trying to provide a good home for him. So she decides to make up a loving husband and happy family for a blog that she writes, and it blows up in her face when a talk show host shows up. Now she has to find a real/fake husband. Travis wants to do it but he has a condition...she must marry him for real. This is so cute and funny I laughed out loud! There's also some steamy romance that just fits the bill. I do love Kylie Gilmore's writing because she has wonderful, relateable stories that are good clear pictures, along with excellent characters and great scenes. I also like Charles Lawrence, the narrator, because he has wonderful voices for the characters too.
