When Ruben Beeler finds a rancher friend shot to death and mutilated, he calls on Marshals Marion Daniels and Homer Poteet for help. That call begins a chase that takes the men from St. Joe into Kansas and down to Hell on the Border and the Fort Smith court of Hangin' Judge Issac Parker. In pursuit of the killers, the Marshals venture into the Oklahoma Territory, or "The Nations" as it was known at the time, following a path of bloodlust that began before the killing of Arkansas Bill Cole. Serial killers are nothing new, as the Marshals find out on the Cutthroat Trail.

Best stories best author best narrator best characters Best Westerns ever. if you don't like these books, somethings definitely wrong with you. Do yourself a favor and start at the beginning of the series. Note to the author if you ever stop writing I'm going to hunt you down bust you upside the head. You have truly made my days thank you keep them coming.
Just an old retired guy, eyesight not as good as it was, so really enjoy listening to these books. Been listening for about 6 years.
This the 7th in the Trail series and is every bit as easy listing and good story at the first 6. Was glad to see it come along, since had about worn the first 6 out. When ever I found myself have a hard time finding something to listen, I'd just load one of these up an sit back and enjoy it again.
Couple of them I have listened to 8 or 10 times and each time just get really relaxed and let it flow. All are really good stories, with the author narrating about as well anyone I have ever heard. Each book has a few chuckles than just kinda sneak up on you, I can't see how someone would not enjoy each of these books. *****
once again, another enjoyable entertaining audiobook from David R Lewis. the only downside to this book if it's the last the trail series. thanks David great job!!
As with all of David's trail books this was a great listen.
If you haven't listened to his other books start with Deer Run Trail, book 1.
The trail series.
I've hid behind rocks with Rube. Laughed with Marion and looked as far as Homer's eye could see. Loved all in the trail series. Kindly looking forward to taking to the trail on another adventure.
This the the latest of a series for this story line. I hope it does not end here and there will be more to come. David R. Lewis is one of the best author and is the best narrator. I have enjoyed all of Mr. Lewies book. I have been amazed that he has not been rated as the top narrator.
