If you could sum up Courageous in three words, what would they be?

Christian, change, thrilling.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Courageous?

Adam's awakening to change.

Which scene was your favorite?

Nathan's dinner date with his daughter.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Adam's life changing moment with Emily, dealing with his son's struggles. These are things that could happen to any one of us.

Any additional comments?

I have not seen the movie, so when I saw the audiobook online I jumped at it. I loved it! I literally would turn off the t.v. or drive longer to listen to this book.

This book makes me cherish my kids more and want to be a better parent.

First off, I saw the movie, and was blown away. Laughs, tears, the whole gamut. Then to keep in my headphones while laying floors, I decided to buy the audio version. Let me say, the book has way more in the story than the movie did. Which is great because you're allowed a deeper look into the characters. But who really gets the praise is the Narrator. Roger Mueller, if you're reading this, bravo. This is exactly the type of narration I look for in my audio library, and haven't found it...till now. Good job, pal. This guy has the talent for so many different voices and reads with such emotion. You can tell he really enjoys his job. I will look forward to hearing you read other stories in the future. Thanks to the Kendricks for helping us men out in delivering such an amazing story. I also recommend The Resolution. I got through that one in a couple days. Narrator was meh, and some parts were arduous, but still worth the money or credits. But this title here is a must hear.

Excellent!!

As a police officer's spouse... I identified with the situations in this book right off the bat. The writers did an excellent job capturing the life of a law enforcement officer and their family. Right down to some of the smallest detail.

What made the experience of listening to Courageous the most enjoyable?

This story was a great story of following the Lord and keeping him first in your life. I loved it and could not put it down.

The world needs more fathers

The message of being a father to our children is often lost in today's society. So many people believe a child does not need to have both parents involved in their lives; that they'll turn out just fine. While at times a child does turn out "fine", the truth is that the odds are significantly stacked against them. This story really drives home the fact that we, as father's, are not just "sperm donors." We have a moral, and even more a spiritual, obligation to raise our children so that the decay of society does not fill that vacuum should we choose to not be part of our children's lives. While the story in this audiobook gets a little long in some places, it's still a truly inspiring story that should remind and motivate us as father's to make the proper raising of our children one of the most important goals we could ever set for ourselves.

Inspirational and entertaining

Courageous helped me become a better husband and father. I listened to this book while driving to/from work, doing the dishes, excercising, etc. I couldn't get enough.

A "Must" Listen

I listen to audio books to help me fall asleep. This one kept me sleep deprived for several nights as I listened. The book made me laugh, cry and cheer. Roger Mueller does an awesome job narrating, even the women sound believeable.

excellent novel

listening this novel i laughed and cried more than i ever done listening any book. i learned so much on what it means to be a good father, i am so excited on what God is doing in my life as i practice this principles taught in this book. both the movie and the book are really good. highly recommended.
