The author writes for men like they think and speak like women. She also gives more information than is needed and it strips the imagination of the reader. The performance was very distracting. While the actor has a great natural voice, his character voices sound like puny, old men. This is at odds with the descriptions and actions of the men in the story. Pass on this one.
I thought this story was interesting, lots of twists and turns. However I couldn't listen to this narrator. He made the men sound like dim witted red necks. The narrator was distracting and I had to stop listening.
The narrator made the characters sound like idiots. These are supposed to be assassins who were mostly former military and they sounded like redneck morons. I didn't like the narrator at all.
Better dialog & less porny / unrealistic sex scenes. The characters were not very believable to me at all. I had a very difficult time believing they were hardcore former military turned assassins.
I'm fairly new to audio books so don't know many narrator names. Iggy Toma has a very pleasant voice. Patrick Lawlor does well with romantic suspense.
