Women made a difference! An excellent WWII story.
This well-researched piece of fiction is both a great story and an interesting window into life during WWII, both in England and in Nazi occupied France. It is the story of two women who become best friends, and their experiences helping the war effort. I am very glad I chose to listen to it, as the narration is top notch!

Slow Start, Good Twist
I struggled with the slow start. However, the end of part 1 and start of part 2 led me to keep reading. and I'm glad I did. The fate of the two main characters is hard to predict through the book and it's not exactly a happy ending.

The story, the writing, the narration: superb
I am tempted to write a long review, but there are too many good things to say about this book and the audio version. The writing is first rate, the narrators were perfect. It was hard to stop listening at times. This one, in my opinion, is in the top tier of audio books. We all know that the narration can make a good book mediocre and a not-so-good book awful. In this case, the narration made an exceptional book flawless.

Enjoyable and interesting read
I’m no WW2 expert so I didn’t critique the novel in its historical accuracy. The story is easy to follow, the characters are well developed and like-able, and it’s overall well written.

Yes, without hesitation. This is a really good story and lends itself well to being listened to instead of read. The narrators did an excellent job and their voices were easy on the ears.

Loved this book!!
I can’t lie at first I wasn’t sold but the further I got the more I loved this book! I loved the characters and their individual journeys and how they were connected!! I loved hearing the story from different perspectives. Great book!! Defiantly recommend!!
