Wedding day arrives for Lieutenant Banks, and the whole gang is enjoying themselves. Jason is the lone detective on duty, and before the night is over, he must leave the celebration.
The scene he finds himself at is the opposite of where he just came from. A cold-blooded murder without any apparent motive, and very little in the way of evidence. Just a group of friends who can't understand why one of their own is suddenly gone.
Jason and Vanessa will have to think on the fly, adapt to a constantly evolving situation, and find a way to close a Circle of Fear.

Joshua Bennington is the voice of Detective Strong. His voice and accents allow a listener to follow what is happening at any moment. The book is presents another case where reasoning allows the case to be solved in a way I sort of picture might happen in a real case. The dialog between Vanessa and Jason works well. I have already gotten one of my friends hooked on the series. I hope Mr. Bennington is back in book 13 when it comes out.
I have been fortunate to have reviewed several other books in the series. I have enjoyed Adjuster Stories and Boating: A Life's Journey which that Mr. Bennington has performed. He takes on a variety of projects and gets the job done.
The series has a lot to offer and should be considered by the Audible world.
I liked the suspense to the end of the story. We never knew if there bwas going to be another killing.
I thought it was interesting that Dalglish let Strong it shot!
We have liked all of Joshua Bennington's performances so far in the different Dalglish's stories. He seems to have a good voice and tells the story straight.
Buy the audio book, you will love it!!
Yes, always love when people tell me stories and all I have to do is listen!
This story was another clean detective mystery story by Mr. Dalglish.
This narrator is great! I have liked all of the books he has read and I am glad Mr. Dalglish has chosen him to read some of his books. Hope Mr. Bennington will continue to be the voice of Jason Strong.
You have to add this book to your collection of Jason Strong audio books, it is another great, clean detective mystery story. Keep up the good work, Mr. Dalglish.
I really appreciated that this was a "clean" story. I have young kids and they seem to always walk in on bad language or sex scenes when I listen to audiobooks. I thought the narrator was good. There was a big differentiation between characters, but I found that I was getting annoyed by some of the female voices (the narrator is a male). However, if I changed the speed to 1.25x they sounded better to me. The story was good, albeit a little predictable. I still enjoyed the story. I had not read any of the previous Jason Strong books, and I feel like I would have been more invested in the characters had I read them (and I might go back and read them at a later date). Overall, an enjoyable book. I would definitely check out other books by this author.
I have recommended this book to my friends and find it a great addition to my audio book collection of the Jason Strong books.
Jason and Vanessa were my favorite characters as performed by the narrator.
Detective Strong might be interesting to have dinner with.
Add this book to your Jason Strong collection you will be happy.
What I like about the last few audio books performed by Joshua Bennington have been the personalities he has given the characters. The different voices give the audio book an edge over just reading the printed story.
The plot did keep me on the edge of my seat. I kept thinking there was going to be another murder. Only stopped at the last second by Jason Strong.
As I said above, I love the personalities as created by Joshua's different voices.
Add this audio book to your collection. It is another short clean detective story you will enjoy.
I did not read the printed version, but the audio versions have been very entertainung and I don't need to take my eyes off the road.
I liked this audio book best because Mr. Dalglish has found a great voice for Jason Strong!
I have been listening to the other three audio books that he has done for Mr. Dalglish and we find that voice just right for the detective.
I did listen to it all at one time as we drove to our son's house. Very entertaining.
Get it....it is another good Jason Strong audio book.
I HAVE LIKED ALL OF MR. DALGLISH'S DETECTIVE STRONG STORIES AND THIS STORY WAS ANOTHER THAT I HAVE GIVEN HIGH MARKS TO. THE STORIES ARE INTER-RELATED WITH THE FAMILIES OF THE POLICE FORCE AND THAT BRINGS A PERSONAL TOUCH TO THE CRIME STORIES. HIS STORIES DO NOT HAVE ANY BAD LANGUAGE IN THEM AND THAT IS ANOTHER POSITIVE FACTOR FOR ME!!!!
MY FAVORITE CHARACTER WAS AND HAS BEEN JASON STRONG. AFTER ALL THE STORIES DO CIRCLE AROUND HIM.
I HAVE LISTEN TO ABOUT 5 AUDIO BOOKS BY JOSHUA BENNINGTON AND HAVE LIKED THEM ALL. I LIKE THE DIFFERENT VOICES HE GIVES THE DIFFERENT CHARACTERS. GOOD NARRATOR!!
IF YOU HAVE NOT GOTTEN THE COMPLETE AUDIO SERIES, YOU SHOULD. THE STORIES ARE ALL DIFFERENT GOOD LISTENING!!
