Issy Randall, proud owner of The Cupcake Café, is in love and couldn't be happier. And when the Christmas rush at the café - with its increased demand for her delectable creations - begins to take its toll, Issy has to decide what she holds most dear. This December, Issy will have to rely on all her reserves of courage, good nature, and cinnamon, to make sure everyone has a merry Christmas, one way or another.…

"narration spoiled it"
I really enjoyed the story itself- I wish now that I had read it rather than listened to it. When the narrator spoke in her own voice as the main character it was great, but her attempts at the voices of the other characters was cringe-worthy!
"Second in the series"
This book is just as good as the first about the cupcake cafe.
When you start to read you get drawn back into the lives of the characters,
Some you would like to shake or even slap and others you want to hug and protect. Every emotion you can think of rides throughout this book.
Brilliant five stars.
"a good story but..."
the recipe at the begriming of each chapter spoiled the flow of the story which is a shame as all the characters were well written and the situations they found themselves in.
this is the follow on book to meet me at the cupcake café where the recipes were a novel idea which added to the story to inspire you to try to make them yourself.
"More recipes and a story that pleases"
A pleasant story and the continuing saga of the Cupcake Cafe. This is a well written and highly entertaining book. The Cupcake Cafe books contain recipes which anyone can try and the characters are charismatic and enchanting. Well done Jenny Colgan..please write some more!
This was an easy to listen too, feel good novel, excellently narrated. One of my favourite authors. Get chilled out.
Brilliant escapism. The way Jenny writes totally absorbs you into the world of her characters. If you loved the cupcake cafe you will enjoy this just as much.
