When curvy Destiny tells Carter she is accidentally pregnant, she doesn't expect him to be thrilled. After all, they haven't discussed any kind of future, and children have never come up. She could handle his shock and dismay, but is unprepared for his accusation that she cheated on him. Leaving New York City and Carter behind, she returns to her hometown to figure out what to do next. Meanwhile, Carter has discovered he made a huge mistake and goes after her, but she refuses to return with him to the city. He's determined to wait her out and settles into life in small-town Kansas as he works on wearing her down and earning her forgiveness. Can he ever make up for the things he said and win her back, or will he futilely chase Destiny forever?

It was a boring and drawn out read. No build-up, no chemistry between the characters. I felt there was no point to the book.
So often the narrators for BWWM novels have voices that aren't credible and undermine the audio experience. Sasha Taylor does an excellent job with an interesting story by Caldwell. I have found myself listening to this one multiple times. A heartwarming story, well read.
Traveling therapist listening to AUDIBLE books while driving to far areas. Also host/produce radio show on KGLP 91.7 on staying positive!!
I hate stories with the female leads gets "knocked up" then the relationship developes. The lead male character acted like a total D!<k.. BUT, I guess I warmed up to the character and story towards the end. BWWM audible stories that don't have explicted sex scenes are VERY far and few between so.. This was ok... Perhaps the next story about Destiny's little sister chasing the head of security will be more exciting..The ending was cute.
