As a young gay man—and a werepanther—all Jin Rayne yearns for is a normal life. Having fled his past, he wants nothing more than to start over, but Jin’s old life doesn’t want to let him go. When his travels bring him to a new city, he crosses paths with the leader of the local were-tribe.
Logan Church is a shock and an enigma, and Jin fears that Logan is both the mate he fears and the love of his life. Jin doesn't want to go back to the old ways, and mating would irrevocably tie him to them. But Jin is the mate Logan needs at his side to help him lead his tribe, and he won't give Jin up so easily. It will take time and trust for Jin to discover the joy in belonging to Logan and how to love without restraint.

"With secondary characters that are just as strongly written and a story that runs smoothly this engrossing story will keep the reader’s attention till the very last page." (Rainbow-Reviews.com)
Having read Mary Calmes "Matter of Time" series, I had high hopes for this story. Sadly it didn't deliver. Firstly the narrator has a very limited range. He doesn't seem to be able to pull off more than two believable character voices. More often than not I felt like I was listening to a cartoon. I found it very distracting. As for the story. I liked it, but it's very sappy. The main character Jin is constantly 'gushed' over. I understand a large part of it is because of what he is, but hearing how wonderful, rare and gorgeous he is over and over and over again got on my nerves a little. I guess it's a matter of personal preference, but I would have preferred a little more subtlety in regards to how special Jin is, instead of getting hit over the head with it every five minutes. I found the story interesting, and liked the characters (mostly), but it’ll be a long time before I’ll be able to listen to it again.
! Love to listen to jazz, r/b and listen to erotic or a good paranormal sci-fi and " good narration is everything"
It's a shame his whole family and tribe whom he loved with his whole heart and they loved him until the day he told them he was "GAY and a Reah!" so much hate so much pain so scared, only one stay true when true love gasp his heart DRAMA DRAMA and some fun too and definitely some hot hot sexual scenes. I DEFINITELY WILL BE READING THE OTHER BOOKS
I am an avid audio book listener. I have over 340 in my library and re-listen to them until I know my favorites by heart.
I love gay love stories. This one is one of the best. It is also the second I have purchased from this author. I have listened to it over 10 times already. As there are not a huge selection of gay themed romance, it is well worth your purchase. The story progresses easily and there aren't any stilted subplots. The reader's voice is very nice and easy to understand. Some of the characters have funny or off sounding voices, but it's OK as they are minor characters and it's not distracting. This is not fine literature, it IS a nice story that has hot love scenes and moves along. It has quickly become one of my favorites.
This D audible book is GREAT; it was like a blind man watching TV, (do you plan to make a movie? :) I was able to latched on to every word, so much detail. I for one look forward to the next book if she dare. And the reader really did a GREAT job as well. Five stars all the way around. (To whom all made it possible)
