Loved this book

I am a big Susan Phillips fan! While I alway enjoy her stories and characters, this was one of my favorites. The charaters were funny and had great lines.I laughed out loud often. I recommend this to you if you like fun, contemporary romance!

A winner

SEP delivers again. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. Very enjoyable.

Disappointing

This is the first one of Susan Elizabeth Phillips novels that I have not enjoyed. The story was disjointed and the characters were unlikable. If you want to start reading her novels "DEFINITELY" don't start with this one. All the rest of her novels are more then worth the time and book credits. An excellent choice would be "Dream a Little Dream". Very..........Heart warming!

SEP and KF - A Winning Combination

What made the experience of listening to Breathing Room the most enjoyable?

Breathing Room by Susan ELizabeth Phillips will provide several hours of entertainment. It is a fun love story that takes place in Tuscany. It is filled with the cleaver wit and banter that is part of SEP's charm. The characters are fun to know, and the reader soon becomes involved in all of the antics that contribute to the story.

It is difficult to choose a favorite character, because they are all appealing. If I were, however, to choose just one, it would have to be Dr. Isabel Favor, the protagonist. She is strong, and funny; and while she is down on her luck, having lost everything that she deems important, she picks herself up, searches for resolve and remains both spirited and generous. The supporting characters are better for knowing her, and she, in turn, is better for knowing them.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. If you are in the mood for a fun romance, this is definitely worth the credit.

not her best

I've read SEP's Chicago Stars series and really liked it, so tried this one because it was the same narrator. This book has some of the same dialogue and story trajectory but the second half veers into some silly, unrealistic areas that I felt were unnecessary. 3 stars mainly for the always fun dialogue between the protagonists.

I have so many of ms Phillips books that I listen to over and over again. This one, probably not. The narrator, as always was great, the storyline slow. Too many characters to get interested in, I am not sure that last comment made sense. Don't miss this author's Chicago Star's series!

Not Rocket Science, but FUN...just what I needed!

I was hesitant to buy this due to other reviews, but love SEP so I thought I would take a chance. SEP did a beautiful job again. The main character, an uptight and control freak meets bad boy hunk and finds a relationship that works for them..Sounds corny and that is why I waited to buy this; but, through SEPs description and wit they won a place in my heart. SEPs ability to explore/describe human frailities with humor and realistic accuracy continues to make her my favorite author and this a purely FUN BOOK!

Not SEPs best story, but still entertaining.

Kate Fleming was perfect. While the story was just ok, the typical witty dialog kept me entertained.

Cute, Nice, Romance Novel

As long as your expectations aren't extremely high (like, groundbreaking novel high), you'll thoroughly enjoy this book. It's a bit silly at times, but I still really liked it! And there are some very steamy parts! Whoo!
