Publisher's summary

Thanksgiving can't end too soon for Victor Bayne, who's finding Jacob's family hard to swallow. Luckily, he's called back to work to track down a high-profile missing person.

Meanwhile, Jacob tries to find a home they can move into that's not infested - with either cockroaches or ghosts. As if the house-hunting isn't stressful enough, Vic's new partner Bob Zigler doesn't seem to think he can do anything right. A deceased junkie with a bone to pick leads Vic and Zig on a wild chase that ends in a basement full of horrors.

Best in the series so far.

If you could sum up Body & Soul in three words, what would they be?

A NEW VICTOR?

Any additional comments?

The best Psycop so far.
I seriously love the character of Victor Bayne. He changes a lot in this book. He becomes a better cop and a better boyfriend.

Maybe it's because he isn't high the whole book? But hell...he was even hotter than his scorching boyfriend Jacob in this one. And it's mighty hard to be hotter than Jacob.

Jordan Castillo Price just gets it.
She knows how to fulfill the wants of an m/m reader who also likes the paranormal.

My Only Complaint?
'Body and Soul' just ended too soon. It's not that there was really a cliff hanger, I just wanted more. And now my only decision is whether I wait for another hot as hell Gomez narration or do I buy the digital read? Decisions.

A favourite book brought to life. Superb!

What did you love best about Body & Soul?

I love the PsyCop series. I particularly love Body and Soul because there is so much character development in this book - especially for Vic. Oh, and Crash makes it clear he's interested in Vic. Things really heat up in this book.
Speaking of things heating up... Jacob Marks talking dirty to Vic during sex. Just... Ungh! It's so very, very hot.

Which character – as performed by Gomez Pugh – was your favorite?

Gomez Pugh had Victor Bayne perfected from the start. This is a constant delight.
Hearing Jacob's whole family speaking was a real treat.
The best narration of any audio books I have ever listened to. Absolutely flawless.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Victor Bayne's perspective often makes me laugh when I'm reading the books; but Gomez Pugh's flawless narration guarantees that I laugh loud and often. He manages to bring all of the characters to life with insightful depth and astounding accuracy.

Any additional comments?

One of the very best M/M series brought to life in the best possible way.
I can't recommend it highly enough. A must for any M/M book lover. Essential for fans of the PsyCop series.

Body and Soul

I love the Psy Cop series and impatiently await the release of the next one on Audible. Gomez Pugh IS Victor Bayne and Jordan was brilliant to pair them like fine wine and cheese. Oh, wait; like Body and Soul 📕📗🌈

Home Sweet Home

I loved Book 3! THANK YOU JORDAN CASTILLO PRICE! I'm really enjoying this series. Vic makes me laugh. However dorky this sounds, I so wish he was a real person that I could befriend. I'm always entertained with how he sees himself vs. how Jacob sees him. I love that Jacob loves him unconditionally. That scene in the hallway... it blows my mind. And I can see how loving someone so much... lets you give them the 'freedom' to do things you would never, ever agree to otherwise. Oh Jacob.

The ending of this book left me happy... that's not always the case when reading/listening to a murder mystery, but I'm in my happy place... all snuggled up. Can't wait for book 4...

Jordan Castillo Price did it again

Where does Body & Soul rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Hard to say, this series is better on audio than reading the book

Which character – as performed by Gomez Pugh – was your favorite?

Victor cracks me up, his attitude and self-recremenation make this book so great. I do hope he develops more confidence in himself.

If you could take any character from Body & Soul out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Jacob! He has such a heart and patience for Victor,

More Fabulous Vic and Jacob

Another great narration by Gomez Pugh, he brings Victor, Jacob, Crash etc to life. His voices for Victor and Jacob are perfect and he has great vocal range and depth. If you enjoyed the first 2 books in the PysCop series you will love Body and Soul. If you haven't had the pleasure of listening to the PsyCops series yet, I highly recommend this series. Anxiously waiting for Book 4 now in audio!!

Great series with the perfect narrator!

I love cop m/m romance stories with the right amount of whodunit. But throw in some paranormal and that makes it that much better, especially since it is so well done. But the cherry on the cake is the incredible narration! Mr. Pugh has such a wide range of voices, from a little girl, or a mature, southern AA woman, to the sexy drawl of one of the MC's...just perfection! Can't wait for the next book to come out on audio as long as the narrator doesn't change. *nods*

Lost interest, not enough romance

The relationship between Victor and Jacob has never played a big role in the series, but it's practically nonexistent in this story. They were going in different directions. The storyline is still on par with the rest of the series, but I need more romance to keep going for a whole series.

Time to meet the famdamnly!

Would you consider the audio edition of Body & Soul to be better than the print version?

Haven't read the print version, but I will tell you the audio version is absolutely amazing.

What other book might you compare Body & Soul to and why?

PsyCop 1&2, Same characters, situations and storylines.

What does Gomez Pugh bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He breaths life into the characters, they aren't just pen on paper, they are three dimensional when he gives them a voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Oh my goodness, the end, it made my skin crawl.

Any additional comments?

Victor and Jacob have finally said those three little words. More secure in their relationship than ever, they start looking for a home to share. You know, some place without cockroaches, train whistles and pesky spirits that are holding a grudge over a cheating spouse, even in the afterlife. And what would a week in the life of Victor Bane be if he weren't breaking in a new partner. Let's just hope this one doesn't try to kidnap him!

While Vic and Jacob are spending the holidays with Jacob's family, Vic gets a call from his captain, he's back on the job after six weeks off stemming from his previous partner kidnapping and drugging him. The missing persons list is climbing and Victor senses a common thread, he's not sure what it is yet, but he and his new partner Zigler are determined to find out. Between the case and Vic finally stepping out of his closet, it's time to see if Zig has what it takes to be the Stiff equation to a PsyCop.

One thing I am loving about this series is how the titles completely fit the stories. The term Body and Soul can be taken a couple different ways within this story. It can be the relationship between Vic and Jacob and how they have really come to love each other, body and soul. It can also be directed at the serial killer and his or her little shop of horrors in their basement. I wasn't sure in the beginning how Zigler was going to work out, especially considering his reaction when Victor told him he was gay. But by the end he'd won me over and I think he and Vic can have a great partnership. I'm looking forward to seeing how they continue to evolve in future books in the series.

Narrated by Gomez Pugh of course and I do hope he continues to carry this series. He has this perfect vocal tone for each guy, Victor and Jacob, and I really like that he's able to capture so much emotion in his voice, subtle nuances and inflections, that really capture what the character is feeling in that moment.

Definitely a must read series; but it must be read in order. And I highly recommend the audio version, it's the perfect coupling of Author and Narrator and it gives the story a little something extra to have Pugh give the characters such distinct voices.
