Ignore the cover

This is book that pokes fun at the vampire genre with ready wit and humor. I'm not sure who came up with the cover, but they just don't match. If you are looking for a tongue in cheek vampire book this is for you.

great, funny, and cruel with love mixed in

I loved the book! I took a chance selecting this book with the win-win sale. the characters are very believable and likable. this as I have learned is the first part to a three book story. I can't wait to download the rest. I do hope the author will continue with the love story of jody and tommy. I love them with the quirky sense of humor they all seem to have. it made reading another vampire story fun and funny. all the side characters were great fun too. The animals and the emperor and his merry men(wink wink). I would tell any one to get this book if you want to have a enjoyable read with characters you will come to love and care about. I wish the book was longer too.you get the sense that the author wanted to tell a story of people who felt loneliness but thought the events and the relationships found someone who could would like and love them for who they are. good book. again I must say I hope the author writes more about these folks and I do hope that the narrator susan bennett will once again be the voice that brings them to life, she is great, wonderful, and creative with the many voices she does herein these stories.

This audio book is engaging, pulling you in and making you laugh at unexpected times, I drive for a living and became so engrossed in this book that when I was done with work for the day I didn't want to stop listening, Susan Bennett did an amazing job on this book and the other two in the series. she brought life to each character.

Love this series despite accent issues.

I love Christopher moore. He always makes me laugh out loud and look like a crazy person on the train. Narration is ok. She is superb as Abby in the next 2 books. But I can't get over her Minnesota accent for Indiana characters. Indiana has a slight southern accent in central and south and a Chicago accent to the north.well northwest where I grew up. The big city of Choice for kids in Indiana CHICAGO. Other than those small (ok big) petpeeves or is it peppeaves? How ever it's pronounced/spelled. Despite those things amazing book. And author. I did enjoy the narrators sense of comedic timing.

Laugh out loud good times!

If you could sum up Bloodsucking Fiends in three words, what would they be?

Laugh out loud!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bloodsucking Fiends?

Any moments involving the animals were classic. And almost anything that came out of Tommy's mouth. So goofy, adorable, nerdy, hug-worthy.

Which character – as performed by Susan Bennett – was your favorite?

The Emperor of course!

Any additional comments?

I'm so glad I got this! It was so funny! Definitely one of those books you listen to when you need a break from heavy story lines and irritating love triangles. Highly recommend, you'll laugh a lot!
