A wonderfully narrated and surprising story. At times toward the middle of the book, Seth's gift seemed a little distracting, but it came together. This was a great read, kept me with the headphones on.
I spin my own wool and knit. Listening to audiobooks while I craft is one of my favorite things. I'm hooked.
I really enjoyed this book. The plot moved quickly, the characters were appealing, and the plot was well thought out. I probably wouldn't have even bought this book if it wasn't on sale recently, but for entertainment value, it was well worth the money and my time.
Outstanding...I just could not stop listening...great characters and a very fast paced story...made me want to read more of this author.
Dept Q, Harry Hole... where are you?
The idea a genious can see seconds into the future is fine, but it becomes tedious and predictable early on. There is no real mystery here.
Once I saw how the hero uses his gift of seeing seconds into the future, I expected glitches to occurr. It just seems lazy, like writing a chase scene for 300 pages where the hero has unlimited funds, intelligence and physical abilities.
Sure, if it was a real mystery or suspense novel.
Frustration and dissappointment.
This is been a battle for most religions for ages. the author has some fun with this argument giving his own spin on what could be the answer in this interesting work of fiction.
the idea he develops can i think be thought to be derived from C.S. Lewis and his idea given in his book Mere Christianity.
I read this book when it first came out and have since read it five other times. This was the first time listening to it and it gave it a whole new dimension! it's my most favorite book of all times and now to have it on audio is even better! I LOVE Ted Dekker!
it was an exciting story, but much of it was too contrived to get to the desired ending. Very much a Deus ex machina ending. But then again, that was the point of the story.
Blink of an Eye deals with weighty issues in a user-friendly format - issues of how faith works, how the sovereignty of God interacts with the free-will on mankind. All this in a fast paced thriller that spans two continents and many cultural intersections.
I had enjoyed the book previously, but was unsure I really wanted the audible copy after hearing the sample. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the performance which was was commendable. The versatility of the voices, tones and accents made it easy to imagine as the story progressed.
