A walk down memory lane
Even though I never got involved in high school sports, I was entranced by this tale of this All-American quarterback coming home to face his fondest memories and worst nightmares. John Grisham really makes you feel like you knew Coach Rake and are there on the bleachers in this small town. It was certainly not my favorite Grisham novel, but I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless.

not a bleacher bum
Grisham is still the best ! I felt like I was involved with the story until the very end. The characters are real , the plot was really an unexpected one for me and I like it that way. I couldn't put the book down and that means it was GREAT .

Another great story
Not your typical Grisham story, but he is a master storyteller no matter what the subject. And coming from a small town where football is king, this is spot on. Simple, easy read. Good stuff.
