Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Carl Weber pens down-and-dirty fiction packed with the highs and low of characters struggling with family and tumultuous relationships.

In this sequel to Something on the Side, two Rubenesque beauties kiss the Big Apple goodbye and launch a new chapter of the Big Girls Book Club in Richmond, Virginia. But this time, the size-14-and-over ladies’ club is welcoming a chunky (and very male) player into its ranks—and plus-size shenanigans are sure to follow.

I love Carl Weber

I was so excited to hear this book it kept me wanting to hear more... I think my boyfriend is starting to feel a little lonely because our tv time is no longer our quality time because i am constantly listening to my audiobook. Isis was no joke in this story by far my favorite character the stalking theme with a few of the characters was out of control i laughed but when i thought about it and remember being stalked by my ex it opened my eyes to the true nature of some folks.... Carl Weber is an amazing writer.

Clearly a black man's point of view...

I thought the tie for all the characters was being overweight and the book club, so I expected something different. I liked "Something on The Side" but I cannot give any book a good review that promotes women going back to loser men.

CARL, CARL, CARL!!!

I was so excited to see a follow up to 'Something On The Side", this was a good read, It would have been nice to have the same Narrators from the first book S.O.T.S, the Narrator was terrible!!
Overall, I was pleased with the story. There of course has to be another to follow.

The worst piece of garbage!

The only praise this author gets from me is to the effect that you've got to have some talent to write a whole book full of characters, none of whom have a single redeeming quality. Can you imagine a book where you are not happy or sad or anxious for anyone? Well, here's an experience for you. No plot, no real story line, no character development. Just the worst of trailer trash. No reason at all why all these people had to be plus size unless that was just insult to injury. If course, not to mention that I can't imagine any black person being grateful for being associated with this crap! I want my money back!

Carl Weber Never Disappoints

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The characters kept me laughing just like they did in Something On The Side. I only wished that there were more characters from the other book in this one as well.

Pretty good!

This was a pretty good listen! Based on one of the reviews I started not to purchase because I thought it wouldn't be as good as the first but I was pleasantly surprised as there were some pretty good twists and turns in there that I wasn't suspecting. Sometimes I wish the narrators voice was a bit deeper for portraying the male voices or that a male was reading for the male parts but overall I would say it was well worth the money.

waste of $$

This was such a lame bit of literature I couldn't even listen to it... I will be much more careful before I spend money on a book.

Entertaining With Lots of Drama!

This is my second read by Carl Weber. Very entertaining with many dramatic twists and turns. There were a few "hanging chads" which is the set up for the next novel "Torn between two lovers" which I have lined up as my next read. As noted by other reviewers, a couple of the narrators (there are more than one including a male) were somewhat lack luster, but for me it was not enough to stop listening. The story had me hooked from the very beginning. However, one reader, T. Floyd, was the worst. She reads in an angry-type, gruffy voice and talked too fast but I was able to adjust to her voice. The male was the best performer in my opinion. Although this read has minor flaws, I recommend this book for its entertainment value alone.

Another great read by one of the champs! The story is such fun and the narrators are so well talented. Don't hesitate to listen to this story!
