Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Carl Weber pens down-and-dirty fiction packed with the highs and low of characters struggling with family and tumultuous relationships.

In this sequel to Something on the Side, two Rubenesque beauties kiss the Big Apple goodbye and launch a new chapter of the Big Girls Book Club in Richmond, Virginia. But this time, the size-14-and-over ladies’ club is welcoming a chunky (and very male) player into its ranks—and plus-size shenanigans are sure to follow.

"Weber's in top form with this fast-paced and oh-so-zany soap opera." ( Publishers Weekly)

CARL, CARL, CARL!!!

I was so excited to see a follow up to 'Something On The Side", this was a good read, It would have been nice to have the same Narrators from the first book S.O.T.S, the Narrator was terrible!!
Overall, I was pleased with the story. There of course has to be another to follow.

Love This Author

Great read. Hate the cliffhanger. Can't wait to read the next book in the series to see what becomes of Isis and the baby, Lorraine being torn between two lovers, and the others.

The sister thing…

All these reviews coming down on Egypt are crazy. Her actions had no malice behind them. She fell in love with a single man. He was never her sister’s husband. He was just a boyfriend. How do you put limits on what you will do in a relationship cause you not married, but have expectations of loyalty like you were married? They didn’t lie to her, sneak around on her or betray her. Women shouldn’t let displaced loyalty cause them to reject true love then feel like a victim cause they end up alone and can’t find a good man.

This was good.

I read this book in college and didn’t peep it until I got towards the end. I’m one of those people who if I don’t like the ending, I will rewrite it. 🤣🤣🤣 the end of my book… Lorraine and Michael ended up together. Leon was Big Papa and that’s really the reason why Jerome was being messy. Egypt was pregnant out of nowhere and happy. Tony filled for full custody of his child because Isis was being manipulative. And Egypt and Rashad sued Isis for EVERYTHING… I need to find my old flash drive because I want to reread it. 🤣

This was goooooood.

Hurry Up With the Next Book!!!

My jaw was on the floor when I heard all the plotting from Isis! And I was in such disbelief at what Jerome had done to Loraine!! And although her husband was abusive...if you really listened to the book SHE was the aggressor and always struck out first...I don't condone a man that hits back but there was much more to the story that just some lady who went back to a loser man....

I loved this book so much....read it because of my addiction to the first one I listened to, "Something on the Side"....there are plenty of big girl references, just not half as many compared to the first book... but you still know the whole time....it is understood that these are BBG's....whoever reviewed before me complaining about that...girl, get over it! I'm white for crying out loud! But I'm big and I'm a woman so I still relate....

one complaint I wish Peter wasn't always referred to as this "white guy" or "crazy white guy" ....if it were turned the other way around (a mostly white book) then everyone would be offended if the author was always referring to one of his characters as crazy black guy or just that black guy....

I still loved story sooooooo much...please make a third, Carl! And bring back more raunchy sex scenes like in the first book, lol!!
