"The busybody angels...provide a few delightful surprises as lives transform." (Publishers Weekly)
A great way to start the holiday season. Debbie Macomber's books are always fun and warm. I can't help but smile when I am listening.
Retired CFO, Army wife, Mom of five, Grandma of six, two sons who served in combat, love to read books that reflect my values and faith, love mysteries, historical, military stories, and books that don't waste my time . . . if it doesn't have an ending that was worth the wait, I'm not a happy camper.
Perfect listen for the Christmas holidays . . . when folks desire peace and healing for themselves and their families. I disagree with the negative reviews posted for Angels at Christmas . . . I am not sure what people expect from a book that clearly is about faith and hope, angels and Christmas. I love how Debbie Macomber deals with the pain, hurts, and disappointments that come from living in an imperfect world, and ways that we humans must learn from our own mistakes. These stories are soul soothing and have a way of setting one's mind and heart at ease.
Hi I'm too busy listening to my books just now to add anything about myself. Sorry!
Good storyline with realistic characters whom I could "see" from Debbie's descriptions.
It was a story I could relate to.
Not that I can think of.
I'm looking forward to listening to the next one.
It's light and easy to listen to while doing something else. I didn't like it as much as I do the Blossom Street books, but it was fine and did a bit to capture the season.
And of course, Sandra Burr always does an excellent job.
I downloaded this on accident (but it was on-sale) so I didn't get upset until I heard it - horrible! If you're suffering from insomnia this will do the trick! Listened for about 30 mins and it got worse and worse.
someone who really needs sleep
anything faster paced, like maybe a phone book.
not her fault.
The story might have been better with a much more efficient editor.
I can usually get though lots of exposition but the story never seemed to be getting anywhere. I finally gave up in disgust
I can't even force myself to finish. I wanted a light, fluffy Christmas story to listen to while I did wrapping, baking, etc. , but this is just plain boring. I found myself thinking, "Enough already. Move on. Get to something in this story." I hope it got better, but I had to quit.
Divorced after 30 years, a woman who is upset about her 30 something son was too depressing to stick with. My rating may be unfair since I could not make past the first chapter.
