    "terrible sound"

It's a well written story but it simply doesn't match up to "A Suitable Boy". The narration by Robert Powell is good but the sound is so terrible I considered asking for my money back. Audible should take this book off the list until it has been remastered

"Wonderful book, sound not so good"

I had already read it on paper, long ago. Whatever Seth writes, something utterly different from what he's done before, is astonishingly good. His work has never disappointed me so far.
Robert Powell is a good narrator, though his female voices sound a bit extreme sometimes. I like it specially when he uses strong British accents (Michael's father, for instance).
The recording, though, sounds pretty much like an old tape. It would use a remastering.

    "Words and music"

Read with understanding and subtlety, not sentiment, this book held my attention at every level: I enjoyed the word sketches of London, Vienna and Venice, the reflective pauses and the dialogues in and around the quartet. I laughed, listened, stopped to look things up, even bought the music - one piece recorded for the first time as a result of Seth's research. Worthwhile and enriching.
