Amazing book!!!!
I love the author's writing style. It draws you in and holds you there every moment. The story portrays our greatest fears and deepest longings, while challenging our faith and the depths of our love and forgiveness. Beautifully written, Mrs. Rivers!!!

So grateful for this series!
This series and this book, in particular, have been faith-building, soul-inspiring, and heart strengthening. The narrator did a great job of telling this story with as much heartfelt expression and distinction between characters as was meant by the author. Francine Rivers is by far one of the best authors whose work I have had the privilege of enjoying. How encouraging it is to know her work is for the LORD and will never fade away.

Keep going it gets better!
Love this series! The first book was hard to keep up with all the characters at first, but I pushed through and was able to keep up. So glad I hung on because this series is amazing!!

The best in Christian Fiction
I have read many books over the years and have listened to many audio books over the years and this is the first time for me to write a review. I was brought to tears many times in the reading of this book as I was in the first book in the series. I have been a fan of the narrator of this book for some time and this is among his very best work. I am inspired!

Excellent insight into Christian/Roman History

Captivating, Historical, Refective
Who was your favorite character and why?
Marcus, not just because he is the center of this story line, but because of his frustrations with Christianity and finally submitting to Almighty God. Haddasah's faith is inspiring.

amazing
I first fell in love with this book series over 15 years ago. This is the first time listening to it though and it is just as awesome as I remembered. Everyone needs to read this series.
