Publisher's Summary

Written from a Christian constitutional worldview, American Meltdown, Book Two of The Economic Collapse Chronicles uses dystopian fiction to take an in-depth look at the economic and political trends that have taken America to the edge of bankruptcy. The book assesses the current course of the nation and projects it into the near future.

In Book Two, America has entered into a full scale financial meltdown. The members of the Bair family do the best they can to navigate a complete currency collapse and the social disruptions that come with it. Having relocated to a rural area in Kentucky, the Bairs fare much better than the unfortunate masses still trapped in the cities.

In an effort to cling to power, President Anthony Howe announces the confiscation of provisions and guns. Several states, led by liberty-loving Senator Paul Randall, stand up to assert their sovereignty.

Knowing the intentions of the Federal Government, Matt, Adam and Wesley Bair train with the local militia who have determined to draw a line in the sand and defend the last remnants of liberty. The political conflict escalates into military aggression and the gloves come off.

    "Very close to reality"

This book is based on real events - and the scenario presented in this book although fiction is so realistic that should the dominoes fall in the order described the outcome would closely follow the storyline of this book. I liked the writers style he is a talented author, characters are developed well, and overall the events have that ring of truth to them that allows the reader to get deeply into this storyline. Of note is that this is a series, as are most in the genre and you will not find an ending at the finish of this book, but the story is so well done that you are actually happy there is more to come when you get to the end. If you are into TEOTWAWKI books this will be a great listen, if you are new to the genre then you will like this as a great action, adventure story, either way highly recommended.

    "Pre-Tribulation Survivalist Story"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Absolutely. As we approach the 2016 elections this book and its predecessor should be distributed in churches across the USA. Fictitious names have been created to protect the guilty but listeners will quickly decipher the characters in national leadership and realize this storyline is very plausible.

Would you recommend American Meltdown to your friends? Why or why not?

    Especially to a democrat.

What three words best describe Kevin Pierce’s performance?

Not very charismatic. I felt that he didn't capture the author's true emotional intent. There were several places where I wasn't clear which character was talking.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes, but there's no way Hollywood would touch this. Spielberg would have spastic fits.

    Any additional comments?

If you read the Bible, the political news, the financial headlines and such then you will like how this series ties them together. This book often quotes our Founders, who often quoted the Bible, and they warned us not to go where this country has now gone. This series describes the most plausible near term outcome, world war or natural disaster notwithstanding. It will definitely encourage you to start preparing any way you can.

This book will cause lefties to scream and spill their latte.

"This book gives you a lot to think about!! "

It makes a person think what they'd do in this very real and possible situation.
One thing I notice is the author give the females in the book very passive rolls. Women are stronger than he writes and would work and fight along with men to defend our country, God, children and way of life.

This was a very two-dimensional, unrealistic tale. I was very disappointed and wish I hadn't spent the credit on this one.

Not every atheist is a bad guy and not every Christian is a good guy. It should be liberty lovers vs tyrants. Let's not let religion divide us.

    "Compelling story!"

I am enjoying this series. The premise isn't as far-fetched as some would probably like to believe, too. When men and women care about style over substance, and vain glory over sacrificial service, are thrust into positions of power, they will stop at nothing in pursuit of their agenda. It could happen today. This author has a great awareness of current events and economic circumstances, and plays the potential realization of the consequences that may follow because of them.

"Great depiction of the end of the dollar"

This is a very real depiction of the collapse of our currency and what would follow if we do nothing to curtail the rampant borrowing and spending being done by our government. It is a wake up call to all of us not just the prepper or militia types.
