Publisher's summary

Can you ever really know if love is true? And if it is, should you stop at anything to get it? Two decades ago, Erin Edwards was sure she’d already found the love of her life: Nate Lawson. Her first love. The one with whom she shared everything--dreams of the future, of children, plans for forever. The one she thought she would spend the rest of her life with. Until one terrible night when Erin made a mistake Nate could not forgive and left her to mourn the relationship she could never forget or get over. Today, Erin is contentedly involved with a phenomenal guy, maneuvering a successful and exciting career, and raising a great daughter all on her own. So why would the name “Nate Lawson” be the first thing to enter her mind when her boyfriend asks her to marry him? In the wake of the proposal, Erin finds herself coming unraveled over the past, and the love she never forgot. The more she tries to ignore it and move on, the more it haunts her.

Always Something There to Remind Me is a story that will resonate with any woman who has ever thought of that one first love and wondered, “Where is he?” and “What if…?” Filled with Beth Harbison’s trademark nostalgia humor and heart, it will transport you, and inspire you to believe in the power of first love.

For all those with a romantic heart...

Yes it may be a little cheesy, but at points I had to stop doing whatever I was doing to just listen. Narrater was excellent! Made me remember all the good times of first love.

The story really made me lose faith in women

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

For a sappy woman I guess but not for the realist.

What was most disappointing about Beth Harbison’s story?

It was interesting but to hear of a woman pining away for a man who didn't care enough to be honest with her is just terribly disappointing in this day and age. Who is that foolish in life? Aren't women over the fairy tale already?

Which character – as performed by Orlagh Cassidy – was your favorite?

Cam is the best and most realistic character. Out of the mouths of babes, they say.

Could you see Always Something There to Remind Me being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

The story is very Hollywood.

Droned on and on and on.....

Would you try another book from Beth Harbison and/or Orlagh Cassidy?

I have read other books by the author and enjoyed them a lot. That is why I chose this one.

What was most disappointing about Beth Harbison’s story?

The heroine just kept repeating the same story over and over of lamenting her lost love as a teen.

Have you listened to any of Orlagh Cassidy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I dont know if I heard her before

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Always Something There to Remind Me?

The story became whiney after so many repeated glimpses back at her old boyfriends actions and words and her longingness for him. I would have cut that in half.

Any additional comments?

I couldnt wait for this story to end

Cute enough story, not spectacular

Is there anything you would change about this book?

A nice enough story. A bit predictable though. It was a bit too descriptive for a love story, if that's possible.

What about Orlagh Cassidy’s performance did you like?

I like Orlagh Cassidy better than the book.

Just a terribly written story

I’ve never listened to/read a book with only one central storyline line so rehashed over and over. The main character playing the victim and needing to be put on a pedestal was torturous to listen to. I couldn’t wait for this book to be over.

I love to reread this book.

I’ve read this book many times and it’s like an old friend. Great characters and journey. Plus Orlagh Cassidy gives superb narration.
