Publisher's summary

Adrian Mole is 34 and three quarters, almost officially middle-aged, when Mr. Blair tells Parliament that Weapons of Mass Destruction can be deployed in 45 minutes and can reach Cyprus. Adrian is worried that he might not get a refund on his holiday. But that's not all that is bothering him. There's his odd girlfriend Marigold who has become distressingly New Age. And his son Glenn who is in Deepcut Barracks. Would Mr. Blair have been quite so keen if it had been his son manning a roadblock?

Great

As always Adrian Mole makes me laugh. What a mess he is. I am in great hope that Audible brings all of his diaries to life in audio. Sue Townsend is genuis.

Smart, Timely, Superb

"Adrian Mole and the Weapons of Mass Destruction" is my first ever Adrian Mole book. I'm disappointed only that Audible.com only offers one of these, I'd love to download more Mole! The subject matter is both personal and political, and it's interesting to see how Adrian's consciousness plays much like that of the U.S., where a majority believed our administration's reasons for going into Iraq and are now disillusioned. Funny yet touching. The narrator is superb, his vocal characterizations for each of Adrian's friends, family members and lovers are distinct so it is easy to follow the story. And I will never forget this: A swan can break a man's arm, you know.

very enjoyable

This is a very funny book. I grew up in England and listening to this book allowed me to reminisce about my old home and the humour that is distinctively British. Adrian is a character with many flaws and issues but remains strangely likeable. The narrator was excellent and really brought the book to life.

Farewell, my childhood friend!

I read the Secret Diary when I was 16, and the have kept up with all the subsequent publications, (I am 33) I must say, I am a little sad when Taunsand announced that this would be the last. I have always found the A.M diaries charming and delightful, but this is the first time I encounter Adrian in Audiobook medium. The rendition of the narrator was fantastic, especially the impression of Marygold. I hereby have choice but to give it 5 of 5 before saying "Goodbye, Adrian..."

Great Book, Great Narrator!

I just stumbled upon this book, and it has become one of my all-time favorites. It is consistently clever and amusing, without being "silly". The narrator is GREAT. I find myself laughing outloud on my way home from work and looking forward to the drive!

Love this book!

I listened to this book a couple of years ago. It's great to see that audible is featuring it. Wonderful, funny book. Great characters. Excellent narrator. I think I'll download it again and have another listen.

Maybe you have to be a Brit

I couldn't finish this. Maybe you have to have a British sense of humor. I didn't find it funny at all.

Frustrating & boring

This book is mind-numbingly tedious. It is like Bridget Jones without the humour. He constantly makes stupid decisions, the characters are not likable or believable. Overall a waste of time-I only finished it because I was driving 6hours each way to a family reunion. I'm glad this is the end of the series.
