Fun Story That Captivated My Interest & Heart! :D

The main character in this short story, William, was a pleasure to get acquainted with! :D I don't read/listen to many medieval books, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one! It left me eager for the next book (Adventures and Adversities). The characters were easy to connect with from the start!

I so appreciated being able to listen to this book without cringing at any of the content. I'm definitely going to share with my younger brothers--Will is a great role model of doing what's right even when it means making personal sacrifices. The author did a great job of making you care about the characters, and I loved the different values that were woven into the plot--children are a blessing, honouring parents, and boys protecting girls.

I did think that the story ended rather abruptly, but I realise that this is a kind of "prologue" to the main series. All in all it was a short and sweet story that I would listen to again. :)

Lovely Start To The Short Stories In The Series!

My Favorite Character is William: Loyal, Protective, Honorable, Faithful.

Thoughts: This is an incredible story of loving your enemies! I enjoyed how William was so caring of his baby sister. Admirable is a sweet story of caring siblings, forgiveness, trust in God, being honorable, and faithful. The whole story is an example of forgiving your enemies. William is one of my favorite characters of Miss Holman.

My Verse for this story: Matthew 5:44

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; King James Version.
I received this book in exchange for my honest review. (And I am truly happy to provide it! :-) ) (I later got the audiobook . . . )

The audio version is nice. I don't often listen to audiobooks but this one is enjoyable and I highly recommend it!

Enjoyable for the Whole Family

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I really liked William from Adventures and Adversities so was glad to hear his story. This was a short and simple story--I listened to it with my younger sisters and we all enjoyed it. It is a fine story of courage and doing what's right even if it's not the easiest choice.

What did you like best about this story?

Hearing the conclusion of William's former life.

What does Kimberly Worthy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her voice was a little flatter for the father's voice than I would have pictured. But hearing it helped the flow of the story to go well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and I did.
