This book really kept my attention. I was so into it I stayed up so late listening I never wanted to put it down. I felt like i was watching a good movie i recommend to read it !!
I listen to these books while power walking, and this book kept me walking so I could keep listening.
A story of a man's love of family, of the suffering of women in some African countries, and the bond of family.
Well worth the read.
Not only was I impressed with how Tracy Price-Thompson's story transported you from the American South to Africa to Europe and back again but I was equally impressed with the narrators as well. They brought life and substance to each character. I was captured from beginning to end. It's a definite must listen.
I've read and listened to "A Woman's Worth" several times. Each time I hear or experience something new. The story follows the lives of three major characters. Their lives eventually become intertwined and climax to surprising ending. This book does not disappoint. I found my self visualizing current movie stars in roles of the characters in the book. Would make a great movie. Spoiler alert. Michael Ealey would be perfect for the role of the adult character of "Chicken". Chris Tucker as his best friend
Tracy you told a story that truly was a gift to every woman to know there worth. I love how the author use words to expressed the love the feelings of the characters I felt in love with Chicken also.
Being new to the work of this author, I was unsure what to expect. After listening to this audio production, I am now searching for other works by Tracy Price-Thompson. This novel is so well written, the audiobook so well performed, I'm hoping for and looking forward to the sequel!
This book sent my heart to the girls of africa and what they have to or had to go through to be women in that country. Predictable in parts but it keeps you in. I want a love like they have. Really good book.
