Eve has never liked Christmas, especially since her fiancé was killed in action in Afghanisatan on Christmas Day. So when her elderly aunt dies, the last thing she is expecting is to be left a theme park in her will. And one entirely dedicated to Christmas…
Her aunt’s will also stipulates that Eve must run the park with a mysterious partner, the exotically named Jacques Glace. Who is this Jacques, and why did Aunt Evelyn name him in her will? But Eve isn’t going to back down from a challenge. She’s determined to make a success of Winterworld, no what what. Can she overcome her dislike of Christmas once and for all? And can Jacques melt her frozen heart at last…?

I loved everything about this lovely story. It had a fun, imaginative setting, gentle humor and kind-hearted characters. It is a light, feel-good story that left me smiling. The narrator was terrific.
Although this series is far fetched and a bit predictable, I kinda like it.... The narrator is easy to listen to and the story moves along easily, good to relax or multi task to cause it doesn't take any concentration. A romance that takes the whole book to get there.
Love these books and narrator. Real-ish women characters, real problems, good coverage of this age group. Sadder than normal, but also more real than some others.
"Warm Feelings all over"
Oh yes just what I needed. All soft and nice. At one time I was wondering if it was a fairy story! I liked it so much and wanted to know more about the characters, I then found i should have listened to White Wedding first so have just downloaded this book.
I am sure it is better with the amazing narrator
Eve. She is trying so hard to protect her soft centre with her frostiness
The enchanted forest, especially on the day of the wedding.
The legacy of winter world magic
Thoroughly enjoyed this book and didn't want it to end.
"An absolute joy!"
A winter wonderland!
The frequent apologies made by the Daily Trumpet, which absolutely slaughtered me.
Not going to single one out
You tend to get a good mix with Milly Johnson's books, to which I have become addicted.
"A good beach read"
Another good beach book by Milly Johnson. ...always a pleasure to loose yourself in these fairytale stories..also love the narrator Colleen Prendegast she makes the characters seem real.
"Cant help myself"
I just cant go long without one of Milly Johnson's books. I know they are fluffy love, dreams and romancing, having a bad guy and good guy I love it. They make me feel good, warm inside and wish I was one of the main characters every time. Don't stop Millly, lovely read
Colleen Prendergast is an excellent narrator, good at accents and can change the tone of her voice to suit the age/sex of the character speaking.
When the horse died, that was sad..
I thoroughly recommend Milly Johnson's books - I've just downloaded the last one. I hope she continues to write!! This book was every bit as good as all her others. Before you read/listen to this one, read White Wedding first!!
"just who does he think he is?"
this is eve's opinion of Jacques and why does he get half of winter world?
I wasn't sure of this book at the beginning but once into the story I found it was well up to milly Johnson's standard.
violet and pav are in this one from the previous book white wedding. so far there is always a link from a previous book. sad to see the end of the season books. wonder what theme the author will use next. enjoyed them all, including the ones between.
"3 out of 5"
this is not the best millie johnson book but still enjoyable. love the narrator though!
"Kind of Dull"
Way too cutsie, contrived, and predictable. I found the characters shallow and flat. I started the book and then out of boredom, set it aside. Finally finished it because I wanted to listen to something and I didn't have credits to buy something new. The narration is quite good.
This was a lovely listen, and succeeded in me wanting to feel festive in July! Just downloaded next book by Milly Johnson
